Nice Layout
Enjoyed the nice driving range with good balls. Staff friendly. Good mixture of water & sand.
Lightning fast greens
Course in great condition....lots of driving between holes...definitely NOT a walking course.....the greens are lightning fast....like in the 11 range....beautiful course and lots of refreshment stations and rest rooms on course
West course
The course was in great shape
Weather was perfect
Can't wait to play it again
Private Attitude, Public Experience
Booked Fountains Country Club as a “member for a day” through GolfNow and was seriously disappointed. The staff acted more like shirt-tuck police than hosts, even driving out to us on the third or fourth hole to call out an untucked shirt. I’ve played plenty of true high-end private clubs and have never been harassed like that. This would be easier to swallow if the facility matched the attitude, but it’s low-budget, outdated, and requires long drives between holes with a pretty poor overall setup. The only reason this gets 2 stars is the course itself, which was actually in decent shape and plays like a solid 4.5 , unfortunately the staff, amenities, and overall experience are closer to a 2.
Surprised
New in town I was surprised that you could play the Fountains course as a member for the day.It well worth the cost the course was in great condition
Weirdest “private club”
This doesn’t feel like a private course. A little outdated looking. Bag staff is non existent. Unload and load your own bag , get your own cart and figure it out. Course is in great shape. Free Range balls is a nice bonus. Can’t beat it for the price.
Staff Dishonest
I left my wallet and range finder and neither one was in the cart. Used my range finder on the part hole and never used my wallet. The fact they say it isn’t at the course is unbelievable. They clean the cart within minutes of us finishing g and they should be more than forthcoming and bring my items to me before I even leave.
Most overrated course around here
Well today was my first time playing, had a 1231 tee time. Showed up around 1210, and it was such an animate process to find the clubhouse, where you are supposed to “bag drop”. Had to walk around the building found some nice kids in the cart barn that could care less about anything going on. They were out of tees. Because we had such a hard time finding where and how to check in, they decided to send off the 1236 foursome at 1234. Starter gave me a huge attitude and told me to go tell the other group I was late and see what happens. He was insanely rude, as was the cart girl that we saw for the first and only time on the 9th hole. She was sure to lay the “it’s a privilege to have me out here” attitude on us as she showed up and was the rudest cart girl ever. We get done with the round and not one person came out of the cart barn to lean our clubs or help us with anything. You could hear them inside messing around and why not. So end of the day I started this with a 2 star review and am now changing it to a 1 star, it was literally that bad of an experience.
Great first time
We thought the course was in really good shape. Greens were sanded, but still rolled true. Will put on the list to play every time we come back.
Love this course
I always look forward to playing here and it never disappoints. In my opinion one of the best in the area.
Great Condition- personnel not too friendly
Played for 1st time..no one at bag drop...no signs for pro shop..once we found female attendant not overly friendly...found the carts and young employee said ok to drive to drop to pick up bag..where we were yelled at by grumpy old man who said absolutely not! No direction to where 1st hole was located...no score card and said they were out! Drove to starter booth but locked up..drove back to pro shop and girl said literally last one! Finally found the 1st and just started our round...Course and fairways were excellent! Course in great shape..not for a walker though..lots of distance between holes...Course stretches for several miles...Course was amazing..Just needed the human element tweaked@
