South at Fountains Country Club
About
Located in Lake Worth, Fountains Country Club is part of a gated golf community. The club boasts three different 18-hole championship courses called the South, West, and North. In the 1970s, Robert Von Hagge and Bruce Devlin collaborated to design all three courses. They all have a classic design that showcases the traditions of Florida golf but each has a unique character and set of challenges. All of the golf courses have plenty of water but the South Course has water on nearly every hole. The course is mostly flat and wide-open but there is some subtle mounding as well as strategic bunkering to provide some challenges. It is a gentle enough layout for beginners though and there are also five sets of tees to make it even more accommodating.

Too hot!!!
Played late afternoon round, starting at 3:15.
Had the course to myself but let another single join me on the back. Weather was brutal but fairways, greens and tee boxes were in terrific shape. They started watering the fairways on the back 9 at 5, which we had to drive thru, which was the only drawback. Recommend as a good saver if you live in the area.
Not with the price
Never really heard of this golf course but it popped up in this app. They charged $100 per person for a greens fee and did not indicate that their greens have been recently punched and sanded. To charge full price for conditions like that, given all of the other choices of golf courses in the area with many charging less per golfer, was not acceptable.
Great day @ Fountains
A friend of mine named Ryan suggested Fountains CC last week so we booked a T time for this past Thursday and despite some bad weather in the middle of our round the course was awesome! The west course was in great shape. The layout was very challenging but also very beautiful! The fairways and greens are both in very good shape. I booked the time on The GolfNow app and for the price it was the best course I have played in Palm Beach county. I would highly recommend it
Great value, exactly what you want in Florida
We played here on a whim on a Sunday afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The water and ice on the course made up for recently aerated greens. Would return if we visit again.
Enjoyable before, during, and after the round.
Complimentary range balls before the round! Very nice layout, and well conditioned course. And "The Pub" after the round was excellent (good food & excellent server). I played as a guest...it is a nice club with all the amenities- relaxed atmosphere- not like some seemingly uptight private clubs.
Hole in One
Course was in great condition and I had a hole in one on West 16 from 158 yds.
Nice Layout
Enjoyed the nice driving range with good balls. Staff friendly. Good mixture of water & sand.
Lightning fast greens
Course in great condition....lots of driving between holes...definitely NOT a walking course.....the greens are lightning fast....like in the 11 range....beautiful course and lots of refreshment stations and rest rooms on course
