Terrible Up-Keep
The layout of the course is fine, but the maintenance was terrible. Will never play here again for that price.

Choose your tees wisely
Great layout with a lot of straight forward holes with some doglegs around water as well. The choice of tee will be biggest decision for those who can’t hit it long. Hitting from the blacks still left a lot of 5 & 6 irons to the greens even after long drives. A good hybrid layout would make Winston Trails a little more accessible to those who are not hitting 275 yard drives but still like a challenge.

Slow Play
The pace of play today was slow. It took 5 1/2 hrs. I would also suggest some way of keeping or discouraging new players from the course. The pair I was put in to play with today were the worst golfers I had seen. My primary reason for stating this is that I know it diminished my joy for the course. I look forward to playing it again. Also nice is that the tips for each hole are in the notes of The Grint
