Winston Trails Golf Club

Been to this course a few times. The last time, they must have been short staffed. There was a group of 8 ladies waiting to tee off - they had a 1:59 tee time. Ours was 2:15. They called our group first and the other ladies were quite upset. They contacted the clubhouse and they let them go first (as it should have been). The course was well manicured but lots of divots that were left unsanded. When we returned, there was no one to take the bags, return the carts, and we just finally parked them by the shed when we left. A nice day to be outside playing golf on a nice course - they need to hire more help.

Overbooked with tee times at 7-minute intervals. Almost a 5-hour round - luckily several groups dropped out. On one par four there were three groups playing the hole and two groups waiting on the tee box at the same time. Ranger just laughed off the major delay. So many golfers at the clubhouse there was no one available to take our bags to the staging area and no carts available. Limited drinking water on the course.

Interesting layout but experience ruined by overbooking and poor management of the course.

Delays at course and pace of play understated by staff. Tee times ever 7 minutes. Over 5 hours pace of play. Greens and bunkers in poor condition. Never again.

Good layout and the course was in decent condition. However, the foursomes were spaced 7 minutes apart. The front nine took over 2 1/2 hours. On a par 5 on the front nine there were 5 foursomes, including the groups waiting to tee off. The pace improved slightly on the back. It was the slowest round I've played in Florida in 6 years.

My golf experience here was excellent. Good course. Great staff.

Decent course but the starter that was working should not be the person greeting customers. We went to the starter where there was a water and ice machine but no cups. When we asked for cups we were rudely told there was not any. They haven’t used cups since Covid. He said you will need your own cup. Ok well we are traveling and do not have cups and he still was rude and said they have no cups. When asked how do they serve drinks, he said he had no idea! The guy at bag drop was very nice and the person in clubhouse was nothing to brag about either. Oh and by the way, they have cups on the cart that came around!

Once again, a course that uses pro tee times for amateurs. Just trying to slam as many people out as possible. Didn’t tee off anywhere close to time. 15-20 minute waits on some holes. No rangers to keep that pace obviously. Fine course. Never going back.

I was going to karaoke at this course on Sundays. So I decided to play the course one Sunday, before karaoke. Items in the pro shop were reasonably priced. Clothing, balls, and concession (snacks), not a big mark-up. The course was well maintained and pace of play was fine. I will play it again, when I come back to Florida, next winter.

Very nice course, staff was very helpful. Carts drive very nice, a lot of water on the back 9 have to really manage your game. Was a bit slow at times groups ahead of us not moving well. Would recommend definitely to my golf community.
