Winston Trails Golf Club

To my and my friends disappointment, Winston Trails was not the condition I have been used to; impecable, excellent shape greens and fairways, even the tee boxes were not to par. As I was excited to show my friends the Winston Trails I`ve been used to, and on top of that, the weather was cold enough for us snow birds to wear wind breakers and tuques on that special day. In my opion the best public course in palm beach county

Will need to be able to get the ball in the air to get to the greens in most situations. Greens rolled well and were challenging enough to be interesting without being crazy. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The food that we ordered in the grill room was tastey but took awhile to get given that there were only a few people there late on a Sunday afternoon. Would definitely go back!

The various sets of tee boxes allow you to play the course according to your ability. It is a fairly open course with plenty of sand and water but it is all laid out beautifully and fairly. You will be glad you played here.

The conditions were just about perfect, the course itself was forgiving the fairways wide and accepting the courses defense was the greens. all and all a nice track.

We were amazed at the condition of the course. It is now our new local favorite. Staff was friendly in both the pro shop and the grill. Can't wait to come back.

Only problem - my "partner" who said he was a nurse was 75 pounds overweight, smoked a pack of Marlboros in 18 holes, drank at least 5 beers (got too drunk to play the entire round) and generally behaved in a boorish manner especially considering that we were paired with ladies. OMG - consider your behavior on the golf course when paired with strangers. You can ruin your own health and golf if you want, but don't ruin things for everyone else.

Very nice course, excellent condition, well manicured from tee box to green.This was my first time playing the course, which was well worth the money and I plan to return.

elevated greens protected by sand but rewards good shots and forgives slight misses. A very nice tract and layout

i will rate this course is excellent golf course for every golfer.

The course was great a lot of challenge from the blue tees. The only thing I found is the course was a little bit dry. Overall it's a nice course.

You'll pay a little more than other public courses, but it's probably worth it considering the very nice upkeep.

I never heard of the course so I didn't know what to expect. The driving range was great as well with the putting range and chipping range. They as well which I don't see to often a sand practice area. The fairways were a little dry but everything else was great... I will definitely be back again one of the best public courses I've played at in the Lake Worth area.

Fast, Friendly, Pretty, Overall a great day on the course.
Greens were Perfect.
Course is fun and interesting.
Made to feel like a club member and will Definitely play again.

If you are looking for a different place to play, Winston Trails is definitely worth the try.
Their website overstates the quality a bit too much about the practice facility but you could get your work done there. Although the range needs better upkeep.
The layout is what shines here though. I normally don't care to see a lot of houses on a course but for some reason it doesn't seem to take anything away from the place.
Definitely worth the play!

we haven't played winston trails in many years because of the condition of the course. all that has changed. the fairways are beautiful, the sandtraps are well maintained and the greens, although not tremendously fast, are perfect in every other way.

we'll be back!
