Winston Trails Golf Club

This was a vacation treat- really pretty course, immaculately maintained, and was nearly empty of other golfers- a real dream. I was fortunate to be paired with a couple who knew the course well, and shared its secrets, some of which we're not so obvious. The only thing I'd suggest is to put some sort of map on the scorecard. I played poorly (not unusual for me!) but STILL appreciated the challenges that the course threw at me. I'll be back!

Course was in very good shape and we felt like it was a pretty good value, especially in season. Our only complaint was that the greens had been sanded, and no one in the pro shop or starter mentioned it. That said, they still were rolling true.

Pace of play was just over 4 hours 30 minutes. The foursome in front of us was a bit slow, with holes open in front of them.

We would go back!

When I first moved down here several years ago, Winston was one of the premier courses in the area.

I was disappointed in the current conditions. Very little difference between fairway and rough. Just not what I expected from where it once was. Greens are ok , not good, just ok. The layout still has potential but unfortunately the conditions are not maintained enough for me to return again in the near future.

The course is equivalent to Parkridge or Okeeheelee and a slight notch below Atlantic National.

The course was not in great shape. it was way over priced at $52. I would have put it at a $30 course. traps weren't raked. fairways were thin. tees were horrible.

Very nice facility. Good practice areas (range, green) and friendly personnel. The course is a good track. Back nine better then front, but both nines are good plays. Greens were somewhat erratic...some fast and some slow. No noticeable reason for this. Water on a number of holes, but really comes into play mostly from the championship tees. I played the course at 6,100 yards which was fine for a 18/19 handicapper. Enjoy!

Every time i will come to Florida. Greens was not too fast for an amateur.

The course started me 20 minutes after my reserved tee time and it took over 4 1/2 hours to play. We waited on almost every shot. Marshals were not helpful.

I will very mutch come back, a great nice golfcourse, beautiful layout. I really enjoy all 18 hole, fast playing

To my and my friends disappointment, Winston Trails was not the condition I have been used to; impecable, excellent shape greens and fairways, even the tee boxes were not to par. As I was excited to show my friends the Winston Trails I`ve been used to, and on top of that, the weather was cold enough for us snow birds to wear wind breakers and tuques on that special day. In my opion the best public course in palm beach county

Will need to be able to get the ball in the air to get to the greens in most situations. Greens rolled well and were challenging enough to be interesting without being crazy. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The food that we ordered in the grill room was tastey but took awhile to get given that there were only a few people there late on a Sunday afternoon. Would definitely go back!

The various sets of tee boxes allow you to play the course according to your ability. It is a fairly open course with plenty of sand and water but it is all laid out beautifully and fairly. You will be glad you played here.

The conditions were just about perfect, the course itself was forgiving the fairways wide and accepting the courses defense was the greens. all and all a nice track.

We were amazed at the condition of the course. It is now our new local favorite. Staff was friendly in both the pro shop and the grill. Can't wait to come back.

Only problem - my "partner" who said he was a nurse was 75 pounds overweight, smoked a pack of Marlboros in 18 holes, drank at least 5 beers (got too drunk to play the entire round) and generally behaved in a boorish manner especially considering that we were paired with ladies. OMG - consider your behavior on the golf course when paired with strangers. You can ruin your own health and golf if you want, but don't ruin things for everyone else.

Very nice course, excellent condition, well manicured from tee box to green.This was my first time playing the course, which was well worth the money and I plan to return.

elevated greens protected by sand but rewards good shots and forgives slight misses. A very nice tract and layout

i will rate this course is excellent golf course for every golfer.

The course was great a lot of challenge from the blue tees. The only thing I found is the course was a little bit dry. Overall it's a nice course.
