About
Lake Worth Beach Golf Club borders the Intracoastal Waterway for just over a mile. There is no shortage of scenic courses in south Florida but this one still manages to stand out. Many of the holes run parallel to the Intracoastal, offering beautiful views and a cooling breeze. The golf course has a classic Florida layout. At just over 6,100 yards, it is not a long course but it still manages to feel like one. There is strategic bunkering along the greensides and water hazards come into play on a few holes. With generous fairways and no forced carries, it is accommodating enough for a range of skill levels but it still offers a fair challenge. The golf course offers a quick and challenging round for more advanced players but gentle enough for beginners.

Should have waited
Tried to play post Ian and regretted it. The fairways and the rough were not in the best shape (un-mowed). The back nine by the intra-coastal should have been closed. Otherwise it's a fun course and always enjoy the bar and restaurant.

Golf on the Intracoastal
Great views, great course. Slowish pace of play and bartender kept my group at the turn for way too long, took care of everyone that came in after me before my party was served.

Wet but playable
Due to all the recent rain, the course was a bit wet but it was still playable and not crowded. Always a fun course.

Pick up the pieces!
Played here many times before and ALWAYS loved it. But not this time.
Why they decided to leave the mowed grass on the course is beyond me. Any time we hit a somewhat errant shot, the ball would get lost in the mounds of grass left lying in the rough.
Other than that though, the course is beautiful.
I’d be reluctant to play there again for a while when they, hopefully, clean up the grass clippings.

The fairways are much improved and in great shape!
Great historic course with nice views of the intercostal waterway. Not extremely long as it is an old course.
Very enjoyable. Difficult to maintain as some holes get flooded from time to time with salted water.

Lovely Municipal Course - Worth Playing!
I played this course yesterday for the first time. The pro shop was small but Carmen was very friendly. The bar in the clubhouse served a nice chili dog (but didn't have a Powerade ZERO or a Gatorade ZERO (my favorite golf drinks).
The course is adjacent to the Florida Intercoastal waterway which adds a little breeze and some very ice views (the highlight of the course). The course was nice but a little dry. BUT ... most of the greens were a wreck and the tee boxes (admittedly not as important) were too. Pace of play was excellent _ rounded the course in 2.5 hours as a solo (all I saw were solos and duos on the course).
Will I return? Yes. Hopefully the course will be in better condition.

Green and brown
Your greens continue to attract a fungus causing brown patches, year after year. I play all over PBC no other course has worse greens.

Very nice track for the money.
I’ll start with the staff, each and every one of them are perfect, they’re all genuinely happy to see you and always up for a conversation.
The course is a wonderful little track with a good layout. It offers a few very challenging holes depending on the wind conditions. The bunkers are abundant and positioned in all the right places, some days I feel like I went to the beach instead of golf 😂 The fairways are well kept with some small exceptions, the greens for the most part are tricky and well maintained (I wish other golfers would repair their ball marks and two others), the water comes into play if you let it so over all it’s a great course!!!
I would like to see a few more ball washes and garbage pails out and around the course.
I haven’t stopped into the halfway house during or after so I can’t say anything about that.
But if you want to have a great time outdoors on a course that can challenge you as well as give you opportunities than this is it.

The pace of play was excruciatingly slow. Golfers stacked up, destroying any possible flow of play. No water on the course or beverage cart, although you can get water on the turn. Nice views. Greens were uneven.
