About
Lake Worth Beach Golf Club borders the Intracoastal Waterway for just over a mile. There is no shortage of scenic courses in south Florida but this one still manages to stand out. Many of the holes run parallel to the Intracoastal, offering beautiful views and a cooling breeze. The golf course has a classic Florida layout. At just over 6,100 yards, it is not a long course but it still manages to feel like one. There is strategic bunkering along the greensides and water hazards come into play on a few holes. With generous fairways and no forced carries, it is accommodating enough for a range of skill levels but it still offers a fair challenge. The golf course offers a quick and challenging round for more advanced players but gentle enough for beginners.

To wet to play
Unfortunately the tides were high recently and course got wet n muddy. The other unfortunate thing is some people have no respect for the people that care for the course all year long . Rather then walk a few feet to their ball where the ground is soft n still wet they they ride the carts n make a mess of the fairways . A lot of damage was from golfers not all from the high tides .
This is great golf course and has a great staff working there . I will continue playing golf here . Gene Carroll

King Tide Soggy
All hole along the water were soggy, or fully covered by water and debris from recent king tides. Otherwise the course plays with full frontal, left to right or right to left breezes which offers a challenge at almost every hole, good for practice or working on your golf game.

Wet, wet, wet!
Every single hole had standing casual water on the fairway and rough! It was cart path only and one of the workers there told us that it's that way most of the time. This was my first and only time playing here. It's not worth me ruining shoes and socks along with getting my clothes filthy from just taking a divot. It's a pretty course down by the intracoastal but that doesn't outweigh the downside.

Easy Course for Beginners/High Handicappers
I played after rain flooding so not ideal conditions at all. But I was aware when I booked tee time. Pretty open course with wide fairways and roughs that are fair and manageable. Bunkers were all drained out but soggy. Otherwise they would have been fine in dry weather. Tee boxes were fine and greens were super slow but very green and true for putting. Andrea behind the bar was super fun and friendly. I had a Mahi sandwich and coke slaw that were excellent…and chilled glasses for draft beer :). As an 11 indexer I shot 78 with zero roll on the soggy cart path only course that day. Great for taking newer golfers and higher handicappers for value and ease of play for the money.

Bad Day
This course should not have been opened. Flooding on 16 of 18 holes. Worst time ever on this course.

Good Practice Track
Track wasn't horrible, but could use some TLC by the green keeper & crew. Greens need some love and all off the cups on the green need to be cut much cleaner. The tool used to cut the holes seems to be dull, which makes all of the holes look somewhat ragged.

Found this course to be challenging to my wife and I as we are amateur golfers. Course could use some TLC. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If you’re not a scratch golfer give it a try.

Get with it
The course is in lousy shape the greens are in lousy shape the staff is on friendly and often times mean. Go elsewhere and enjoy yourself
