About
Lake Worth Beach Golf Club borders the Intracoastal Waterway for just over a mile. There is no shortage of scenic courses in south Florida but this one still manages to stand out. Many of the holes run parallel to the Intracoastal, offering beautiful views and a cooling breeze. The golf course has a classic Florida layout. At just over 6,000 yards, it is not a long course but it still manages to feel like one. There is strategic bunkering along the greensides and water hazards come into play on a few holes. With generous fairways and no forced carries, it is accommodating enough for a range of skill levels but it still offers a fair challenge. The golf course offers a quick and challenging round for more advanced players but gentle enough for beginners.

Windy golf round
Very nice course along the water. The fairways need a little work. The grass was very thin.

Need to spend some money to get fairways up to the standards of the greens.

Decent value, limited access.
The course is, as expected, a municipal golf course on the intercoastal. The greens are more than serviceable, the fairways are adequate, and the staff is amazingly friendly. However, it does not drain well, and as I learned this morning, there is a league that plays every Saturday morning that precludes access before noon. So, if you’re looking to play golf on a Saturday morning, this is not your course. They were on moving in accommodating a single even within open groups.

Not bad for a Weekend Hacker
For $50.00, it is what it is. For that cost you get that type of course. Don't expect a plush, Country Club type of golfing experience here.

COVID INDIFFERENCE
Having paid for the use of a cat on the course,
I am annoyed that it is discounted and that I was being forced to ride with some n a cart. It has happened before at this course. I am being forced to ride in a car with someone that I don't know, under the circumstances that a pandemic is in existence in this city. For a number of years I played this course and wasn't asked to ride in a cart with anyone. Now they seem to be requiring it.

Our policy states that golfers must ride two in a cart, unless they request their own cart, at which point they are required to pay a cart fee. The tee boxes and fairways need a lot of work
I like this course but with some work it would be much better. Not much grass on the t boxes and the fairways were patchy. The layout is great and a beautiful view of the intracoastal on one the holes on the back nine.

Deliniazation was non existent. Poorly maintained for a government course. Extremely wet when there was no rain.. greens were inconsistent. Overall a poor experience. Will never play the course again. Only positive we’re the staff on the course and in the restaurant.
