Rocky Bayou Country Club

Fairways and greens are in good condition. They have a new practice green and the speed on this did not match the speed of the greens on the course so be aware of that.

Fairways and greens in great shape. Some very beautiful holes. Nice mix of simple holes and challenging holes. Nice club house to eat at and get drinks. I think it is best value in this area. I am a 10 handicapper.

Every thing was green and plush. The greens were still showing signs of recent plugging and sanding, but will be back to full in about a week. They were slightly bumpy but really didn't affect your putt to much.

This course was designed by a Mobilian names Earl Stone. I love his courses. I've played everyone I can find. Rocky Bayou is one of his best. The staff here is great. The practice facility is very convenient to the #1 tee box and the course is always in good shape. The only drawback is the toll bridge and toll road the gets you to the course if you dont know how to get around it.

Greens are firm, and need more grass. You could see fertilizer on them, they probably need punched where grass would grow together. I would rate my overall experience as 3.5 on a scale of 5.

This is a fun track that you should not overlook!

I have played this course 10 times or so over the last 6 years and conditions are definitely improving. It is a fun layout with lots of elevation changes. The staff is friendly and the members with whom I have interacted are welcoming. The view from the 19th hole overlooking the course is fabulous!

Other than the greens being recently aerated, course was in excellent shape.

Love this golf course. Good layout with wide rough (not houses at edge of fairways like most FL courses). This FL course actually has some elevation change. Greens roll very good but there is a lot of undulation. Most long putts will have multiple breaks. TIP - They do not have any meals pre-cooked so be sure to order any food for the turn by calling when you finish the 8th hole.

This is not what we've come to expect from most Florida courses that are flat with lots of water and narrow fairways. Rocky Bayou features hills, valleys, generous fairways, short rough, ample greens and few water hazards.

Our threesome was joined by a fourth who knew the course and steered us through doglegs and blind downhill shots to water hazards.

Drives ran forever on well-mowed fairways, greens were fast and undulating, bunkers were not a nuiance, well placed oaks and pines disguised the surrounding subdivisions, and the staff was friendly and helpful,

Everything worked so well that if we lived in the area we would want to be members. We will definitely be back!
