Great course

Rocky Bayou has become one of our favorite courses in nw florida. It's always in great shape and the pace of play is good. The course itself offers a good blend of risk / reward - you can play safe and expect a good score - or "go for it" and see what happens. Lots of elevation changes for a florida course, great views. I don't recall ever seeing a beverage cart (I play during the week) - but a number of holes have coolers full of ice cold water bottles. The turn takes you back to the club house.

I had about 40 miles to travel to play this course. And believe me.....the course was superb! I thoroughly enjoyed this course! Beautiful fairways, ladies TEE boxes are level and look just like the men's TEE boxes, and the greens are fast, but true.

No DOUBT, I'll play this course again.

Great Value - Good layout - Outstanding condition

The minute I saw Earl Stone's name on this course I knew I had to play it. I was not disappointed.. Mr. Stone is from Mobile and is responsible for the design or redesign several courses along the gulf coast. I have tried to play all of them. All of his layouts are fair for the average golfer and Rocky Bayou is no exception.. Great staff, great practice facility and FREE range balls. I will return very soon.

Best course for the money

I normally don't do reviews, but didn't want to see anyone miss out on this place. We played 3 other courses in the area and this was by far my favorite. The course is fairly straight but long if played from the tips. Great course for a beginner or advanced. The course was in fantastic shape. Fairways, tee boxes and bunkers were all A+++. The greens were a little firm but slick and rolled great! If playing around Destin, do yourself a favor and come play here. Golf now has it for $22 a person and its worth 3x that!

Great layout

Played this course for the first time last fall. Back again this trip. Love the course layout. Can be somewhat challenging from the black tees. Greens were firm but held well with high iron shots and rolled true. Overall course was in fantastic shape.

Nice Round of Golf

Had a Great Time - The course was in Excellent condition and was well maintained.

Staff was friendly and courteous.

Range balls were provided so my partner and I got to warm up some before playing.

Amenities included bottled water that was provided at some holes during the round.

Greens were in great condition and were challenging due to their design (and my mediocre putting skills) .

All-in-all it was a very nice course and round of golf.

Not only would I recommend it, I have just finishing booking there again for another round. :)
