About
The Poinciana Golf Club has recently re-opened under NEW MANAGEMENT and has done extensive renovations to the golf course including NEW GREENS.
Located in western Lake Worth, Poinciana Country Club is one of several great short courses that south Florida has to offer. At just over 4,000 yards, it is a quick and challenging test of your target golf skills. The greens are small with large breaks and there are swaying palms lining the fairways. The layout consists of par 3s that range from 103 to 172 yards and par 4s that are approximately 300 yards. There are strategically placed hazards throughout the golf course that offer good short game practice for more advanced players. Poinciana Country Club can conveniently be played in less than four hours. The golf course is still gentle enough for beginners though. It is popular amongst locals but still a well kept secret from the rest of south Florida.

Could be a fun little course
The greens were in pretty rough shape with the exception of very few. Fairways were in decent shape as were the bunkers. Not a very difficult course as it is extremely short.
Don't waste your time or money
Course is in horrible condition, much like playing in a cow pasture. way to easy and you'd have a better time playing putt putt

every green was under seeded. The bounced and were not true. We were disappointed in the condition of every green.

The greens were in very nice shape. The fairways were mostly good but there were isolated burned out spots where watering had been lacking. The rough has many areas where the grass was lacking and a shot from the rough was either from coarse turf or hardpan. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

this is the absolute worse golf course in Palm Beach county on so many levels.
Rude starter/staff. Terrible pace (3 carts per tee box), the worst course conditions Ive seen. fairways and greens essentially sand . On the 18th hole- Power lines cross directly in front of the tee box (i kid you not). To each his own, but this course was definitely a bad experience for me.

OK, for older course,greens were kinda slow and bumby.

I keep going back because of cost and overall maintenance of older course. Efforts on the part of new management are applauded. Good job.
Pleasant course
I enjoyed this course; however, I found it sometimes difficult to find the next hole. Some holes were very challenging.

IT'S A TOUGH LITTLE EXECUTIVE COURSE AND I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE 3 PAR 5 HOLES. THE GREENS ARE TRUE AND IT WAS ENJOYABLE TO PLAY. I WILL BE GOING AGAIN. THANKS

I'VE PLAYED THIS COURSE MANY TIMES OVER THE PAST 10 YEARS & THESE ARE THE BEST CONDITIONS THAT I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED HERE......THIS PAR 64 TRACK PROVIDES A CHANCE TO USE ALL THE CLUBS IN YOUR BAG PROVIDES A DECENT CHALLENGE FOR THE INTERMEDIATE TO HIGH HANDICAP GOLFER....CAN BE VERY BUSY DURING PEAK MORNING HOURS, ATTRACTS MANY NEWBIES/HIGH HANDICAPPERS.... RECOMMEND PLAY AFTER NOON OR 1 P.M. FOR A SUB 31/2 HOUR ROUND.......VERY REASONABLY PRICED
An Executive Course With A Friendly Staff
The conditions were below average on this course, however this is what we expected for the price. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and seemed to really care that we had a good time.
Course consists of a lot of par 3 holes with apartment building (low rises) usually on one side of you throughout. There are a couple of holes that cross so watch out for bad tee shots.
Greens need a lot of work to remove the bumps and to create a more consistent speed. Overall if you are looking for a relaxed short course with a few challenging shots this would be a good choice. I would take beginner golfers here to relax and have fun.
This course has a little of everything
Nice course, great people. Good place to learn to play, requires using all the clubs in your bag.
