Eglin AFB Golf Course - Falcon

its a hilly course but it was fun. you need to play from the easiest t-box as it will be more fun

This was a nice place to golf. The first point of contact was a woman who was extremely sweet. She directed me to another gentleman outside who walked me through a brief explanation of the course etc which was great since I'd never been there. There were a surprising number of hills and challenging hazards. It was a good time. I will definitely go back.

Good course. Course was a good test of ability. Greens were good test of putting. Played long.

This course is very picturesque with lots of terrain and views from the tops of several hills. There were lots of ditches with trees and vegetation to hit over from the tee box. The grass on the fairways was very short.

A very elevating layout which gives a good challenge.

If you're not a fast player, stay away from this course. You will get trampled by all the old men trying to finish their round before they die. I played the Falcon course (not Eagle). It was in very good condition for an 89-year-old course. The greens rolled true. If you play early when there is still dew on the ground, your ball will collect sand on the greens and your feet will get soaked if you don't have water-proof shoes (I didn't). I payed $25 for 18 holes with cart, so I can't complain much. My only complaint is that the lady riding the bunker raking machine followed me the entire round. Very annoying. She should go backwards so everyone only sees her once.

The scenery was and layout of the course was beautiful. I enjoyed the layout with both doglegs left and right. We played the white tees at roughly 6,200 yards. The fairway bunkers were placed where one could carry or navigate around them; however, they could be troublesome if one was not careful. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I hope to play it again soon.

Great Course for the money. Weather was perfect. Niceville

This course has a nice layout with good mix of long and medium length holes. Fairways were well tended and greens in moderate shape, but a little slow. One great thing is that the dress code does not exclude levis. My only real complaint is that most holes had a "ring" around the cup (causing several missed putts).

Other than a starter that is overly flirty... I had a great experiance! I'll be back next week to do it all again

This is a very good course. The holes very challenging on this course.

This course reminded me of some of the mountain courses I've played in the Carolina's. Lots of elevation changes and some really nice views. Couldn't believe I was in the Florida panhandle. Friendly staff, challenging course, and overall good experience. Better bring your A game for this one.

Very interesting and fun layout. However, greens are very slow with lots of grain. Overall, a fun course to play for the money.

The greens were near perfect. The day was beautiful. This course is an anomily for Florida. It is very hilly which you can not find in any courses in the area.

Greens are a little on the slow side, but smoothe and playable. Overall course is in good shape. Green fee with cart is priced lower than area average, but course is one of the best layouts.

The Eglin Falcon Course had some problems with the greens as did all the courses in the area. However, their greens have come back much faster than most of the other courses. Changes in elevation are unique to the Eglin courses. Challenging and rewarding.
