Eglin AFB Golf Course - Falcon

A true golfing test! B, two C, and a D golfer and we all enjoyed the course.

Quite the challenge with the, not so Florida-like, elevation changes. Very demanding on your driver to keep it in play and on the correct side to set up the approaches. The four par 5's gave me the title of the review. Greens were in great shape and my group looks forward to a return visit. Maybe not in the summer, though. The insects were having their way with a couple of my tastier partners. Our pace of play was slow. but that was a group problem, not the courses.

Great value….course is a good layout. Greens were good. Fairways are really rough…a lot of weeds etc.Will play again with a HOT DEAL.

The Falcon at Eglin AFB is an awesome course and should not be played by the faint of heart! The fairways and t-boxes are a bit under-attended, however, that does not detract from the challenges of the course. The first hole will make one wonder, because it is a basic, mundane hole. But fasten your seat-belt, because the rest of the course will eat your lunch! Bring in Robert Trent Jones and this could be on the RTJ trail! Great course!

Greens and fairways in super shape. Day was hot as always this time of year. Played at 12:10 and finished before 3:30 (threesome). waited a min. or so on some tees. Greens were fairly slow but it was mid- day and they probably don't cut too short in the summer heat. Quite a lot of topography for a Florida course. Beautiful trees and lakes. Very nice.

The greens were in good condition. The course has character, each hole was different. A good lay out. When compared to prices of other courses in this area it was worth the $40 and the 20 minute drive.

Course was in overall good shape. It's a fun and challenging course to play, especially from the tips. Best value near Destin and worth the short drive from the beach.

The Eagle was a great course. From tee to green it was in great shape. Florida has gotten plenty of rain this summer and the course looked like it has flourished because of it. The fairways were lined with red stake to keep the pace of play moving (I loved it).

Very nice facility. Falcon course was in good shape overall. Greens were a little slow, but still smooth and putting true. Layout is challenging and quite hilly for Florida. It's a very good value for the price and worth a visit.

Course was fun, I love older courses. Pace of play was good. Cart girl was friendly, drinks were priced right, overall loved course.

This course has more hills than one would expect in Florida which makes it challenging. Course was in decent shape; much better than most that are north of the bay.

Didn't know there were hills in Northwest Florida. Some very challenging undulations and changes in elevation made the course quite a challenge. Nice course, nice staff and in good shape. Will go back to this military gem.

This is one of the most challenging Military courses I have played. It is very hilly and requires golf skills to score. I will be going back as soon as I can ! This is an all day rate, so you can golf until you drop!!!

Waited bc of 2 hour rain delay and staff was very friendly. Course drained exceptionally well. Started back up in the rain and did not see one puddle. I was given free range balls for my patience. Cheap drinks and beautiful course. Challenging because of elevation changes but not too hard. Great greens.

The course is in good shape better than most in the area. First it is a very difficult course and provides plenty of challenges. I will be back to play many rounds. We paid $18 a person and for the condition and overall value we got a steal.

Very nice course very good condition. Greens in great shape where other courses having problems with course condition. The weather was very hot and humidity high but plenty of cold water coolers and water fountens to stay hydrated also a refreshment cart came by very often.

Eglin's Falcon course is a very nice place for a round of golf. This was my first time playing there and will definantely be returning.

Beautiful views and fast play. Loved the topography of this course. Great bargain.

we have been coming to this area for three years this is the best course for the price that we have found..

Good course, great deal with GolfNow. Starter was not friendly, but once we got past that a good time was had by all.
