recently overseeded but still very playable ;played here several times before and greens are always very good; forgiving off the tee but challenging otherwise

Over-seeding of greens/fairways has taken nicely. Pleasurable to play a well maintained course.

With six sets of tees, this pristine course has something for every golfer. The course was recently over seeded and is quite lush. Fairways are wide and were cut a little longer than normal which made the ball sit up quite nicely, although, not much roll was to be had. Greens were moderately fast and putted very nice. Quality shots into the greens were rewarded. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Lots of water is seen around the course, however, it seldom comes into play.
The Stone Creek Grill is also a very good place for lunch or a cold one, golfers choice! My only complaint was that the pro shop closed before we completed our round around 5:45 and I didn't have a chance to look through the sale rack! Will definitely play again when in Ocala.

Great course for your money; prestine grass and friendly staff.

Always friendly and helpful staff, great food and we love the course. It is always in beautiful condition and a pleasure to play there. We drive 80 miles to play the course ... so you can see it's an awesome track....

The course is well maintained. The pace of play was good and the greens were fast.

The greens are some of the best in the area. Rolled true and were pretty quick. Must keep your ball in the fairway - the rough is very punishing. Enjoyable day.

The course was in great shape and offered great value on GolfNow. It had a few areas that could do with basic maintenance, but not many. The staff were great and a fabulous restaurant rounded off the day perfectly

Best shape I've seen the course in during the 8 yrs I've played it...and it's always been in great shape. Get out and play it now before the winter crowds arrive!

The course has scenic beauty with gentle elevation changes, some well placed bunkers and waste areas. A few blind shots but mostly right there in front of you. This was only my second round so I had to rely on my GPS for layup distances etc. The six sets of tees made it pleasant for my handicap (18) and my partner's (3). Any body should be able to enjoy this gem. Since we started on hole 10, we got to play hole 9 as our last hole. I won't give it away but good luck when you play it.

Course is in very good condition, fairways very nice and greens in excellent condition, and a little on the fast side. Overall a very nice course.

I booked a tee time through golfnow and was a hotdeal for 17 a person which was terrific and looked forward to playing stone creek once again. When we arrived me, my son and his uncle. We were all looking forward to a good after noon of golf. And the lady behind the counter at the pro shop was not very friendly and she felt the need to inform me twice that my son couldn't drive the golf cart or we would be immediatley thrown from the course. Then so did the starter and I informed them both we have all been playing golf for a long time and we new the rules and assured them he wouldn't be driving and then as we were trying to enjoy the round on the course and every two to three holes a employee keep passing and watching us as we played for extended periods of time. I shot an 95 at the end of the day and loved the course but felt unwelcome being younger than 50 as it is in an elderly community.I made a 45 minute drive from gainesville and can't say I will be doing it again anytime soon.

I've played this course several times, and it's always in excellent condition. Well worth the drive from Gainesville!

Fairways--A+ Greens A+ Carts-A+ 19th Hole--A+,everything about this course was A+,just as I had expected.My foursome arrived early and got right off on the 1st tee. Rained really hard on 9th tee,we waited about a half hour and still completed round in 4 hours.Wide fairways very big greens.If in the Ocala area you have to play this course.

Super condition with well groomed fairways and quick greens, I will play ot often

Course in good condition. Some crabgrass/weeds on course.

Wonderful Layout and Immaculate Condition.
Greens putt fast and true.
If there was a knock on the course it would be that on some of the holes the fairways are overly generous.
Well bunkered.
Water in play on several holes, but no difficult carries.

Great course-well kept-used all my clubs well kept

A well maintained course of moderate diffculty. Arrived a little early and they sent me right out to the tee. Played the front 9 by myself and was paired with another player for the back 9. Having rained heavily the night before some of the bunkers had a little water but nothing than could not be handled by a drop in the bunker.
