About
Stone Creek Golf & Country Club stretches across more 185 acres of Ocala's rolling hills and lush green countryside. The lengthy course stretches to 7,221 yards from the back tees. The challenging layout is known for being one of the best public golf courses in Ocala and the surrounding area. The large greens are undulating and fast. The golf course requires a good amount of accuracy thanks to the strategic placement of bunkers that frame most of the greens. Water also has a prominent presence on the course. It comes into play on 11 holes. Golfers should be prepared for a variety of challenges but the well conditioned Bermuda putting greens provide some of the best putting surfaces in the Southeast. Stone Creek Golf & C.C. also has a practice facility with a driving range and putting and chipping greens.

Best value in the Ocala Area
I have played courses all over Ocala, and by far the best maintained (public) course has to be Stone Creek. You will be notified if you are not keeping up with the group in front of you, even if the group in front of you happens to be playing speed golf, you will have something mentioned to you about keeping up. (This is never a bad thing if you think it is you haven't experienced enough 5 1/2 hour rounds of golf)
The greens/fairways and tee boxes are always well maintained and properly taken care (sure they have to aerate and topdress like everyone else, never sure why people complain about this.)
The course has trouble, but most of it is pushed out away from the fairway far enough that you should be able to avoid most of it if.

This course is typically longer and more challenging than similar courses in this area. The course is open and subject to windy conditions.
Course in great shape. Green running fast and smooth
Tee off on time. Fairways in good shape, ample sand in traps. Green smooth with no burned out areas.
Wide open fairways
Course has wide open fairways which makes it forgiving at times. Sand traps where well placed. There is water hazards on some of the fairways, but doesn't really become a factor in playing the course. I will return. Range balls where $3.00 a basket. Club house was very well done. Food was great. Played for $25.00 pp on GolfNow. Can't beat that price.
This course has it all
Course is in great shape. Greens are being aerated but are still in great condition. Overall this is a wonderful course to play golf.

Fantastic Greens
This course is a real gem in the Ocala area. Has a nice practice facility and is well organized to maintain speed of play and team you up with other people. The greens on this course were the best I've seen in Florida at this time of year. Very true without being lightning fast. All in all a great place to enjoy a day of golf. Highly recommend to others to play.
Course sets up well
Even though this course meanders through housing, the course sets up well, with plenty of room for landing an errant shot. Greens are fast but nicely manicured. A must play if in the Ocala area.
Great greens.
The overall conditions were very good for this time of year. The greens were in outstanding shape. They held shots well, rolled true and were quick. The staff was fabulous and friendly. Chris in the pro shop was especially helpful and professional.

Nice course with wide fairways. It plays longer than you think. Because of the wide range of tees a chalange for every player.
very playable course, great course for couples.
Nice course, conditions were great, play was quick. the course is petty straight and open, not a lot of trouble or variety. however they have 6 tee locations that allow for every golfers desired length.
Great course and awesome value.
I go to Florida every year to play in a golf tournament and usually play other courses while in Inverness. I noticed this one had good reviews on Golfnow and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. The course is one of the best that I've played in the area. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape. The greens were quick and the chipping areas around each green were fantastic. Not a bare spot in sight. The course plays very fair from the Black and Blue tees. I'll probably try the tips next year. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices in the grill were very good as well. I played on a Saturday in 3 1/2 hours and Monday in 4. I don't know of a better course in the area, especially at the rates they are charging right now.

I play this course regularly and it is always in great shape and the price can't be beat. Best value in the area!
Great setting, beauiful and in excellent condition.
In addition to a very nice driving range, the chipping green and putting green were terrific. Greens on course rolled true. Fantatic value. I would definitely play again.
Great course
Best course for the money in Ocala maintained prefectly not a bare spot on the golfcourse, from the tees to the greens and wonderful looking course.
very enjoyable day outing with good friends
we joined our very good friends for a round of golf and a very enjoyable dinner at the end of the game, we all found the course to be in top condition and to round off the day the dinner was most enjoyable... we will be returning and do it all over again very soon.

Nice mix of challenging and relatively easy holes
One of the best maintained courses in the area. The fairways are in great shape, the greens are fast , smooth, and in perfect condition. You can count on a great round here.
Great course!
I have always loved playing this course. It is well maintained, the staff Is friendly, and the rangers make sure the pace of play is constant. I highly reccommend this course!
The course is great and the Staff is even greater.
With the different tee locations the course can play as easy or as hard as you want. The course was recently over-seeded and is very beautiful, the greens are "true" and fast, and lastly the staff is "world class" right on down from the head pro Mark to the starters and rangers.
I want to thank the staff at Stone Creek for always making my visits so enjoyable,
