About
Stone Creek Golf & Country Club stretches across more 185 acres of Ocala's rolling hills and lush green countryside. The lengthy course stretches to 7,221 yards from the back tees. The challenging layout is known for being one of the best public golf courses in Ocala and the surrounding area. The large greens are undulating and fast. The golf course requires a good amount of accuracy thanks to the strategic placement of bunkers that frame most of the greens. Water also has a prominent presence on the course. It comes into play on 11 holes. Golfers should be prepared for a variety of challenges but the well conditioned Bermuda putting greens provide some of the best putting surfaces in the Southeast. Stone Creek Golf & C.C. also has a practice facility with a driving range and putting and chipping greens.

Waited every hole from hole #8 thru #18 min. of two min. The threesome ahead of us had two holes open in front of them and never offered to allow us to play thru. Never saw a marshal on the back 9.
Very disapointed
Outstanding facility
This is a first class facility in all respects. Very friendly staff and great course. Pace of play was a little slow due to a tournament, and fairways were a little long due to recent over seeding, but all in all this is a gem.
Poor Scheduling off the Tee
We were not able to finish the round. Played only 11 holes until the ranger informed us that there are 8 groups of 1st Tee that will heavily delay our game. The ranger informed us that at the rate the groups were playing ahead of us, it will take us 3+ hours to finish the remaining holes.
BAD TEE SCHEDULING.
This course could be better.
This course could be better in a month or so after the over-seeding is done and completion of green maintenance. There are grains of sand on top of the greens and the grass are not cut creating inconsistent ball speed. I recommend to wait for a while to play again in this course.
Surprise
We play her for the last 7 years. Great course. This time we got surprised by the announcement "cart-path only" for $15 still a great price.
While Your Young
Great course, always in good condition. I always enjoy this course. This time there were no rangers on the back 9 and the group ahead of us were playing 12 to 15 minute holes. Come on..........while we're young. Not having a ranger which allowed for slow play takes away from the enjoyment.
Stacked like cord wood!
I hate wtiting bad reviews about any course, however when we got there yesterday there were so many people lined up to play it looked like they were stacked like cord wood. Our tee time was 1245 and we waited 20 minutes past our tee time before the ranger finally sent us to the 10th Tee because he had just let a group of eight women go to the first tee box... on the 10th hole we lined up behind a foursome waiting to tee off behind another foursome with a foursome mid-fairway waiting for the group on the green to finish up. the staff at the front desk was very nice. We asked for a rain check and they provided one. They said this is just how it is when the snowbirds comeback. Thecourse looks beautiful, & I look forward to playing it someday when it's not so busy...
Tee times for a reason
Played the back nine to start, which I don't mind. We played in just over 2 hours, but we made the turn with four groups on the the 1st tee box. Players making the turn had no one there to make sure they kept moving...no ranger in sight. Once we started the back nine holes 1-9 took 2:40 minutes..just unacceptable.

Nice par 3's & par 5's..I"M a 20 handicap, so it was a test, but enjoyable
This course is great
I would recommend to a friend. High and dry great layout. However, pace of play is very rigid due to overzealous marshal at times. Onesomes and twosomes are not recommended.
wonderful place
One of the best course's you can play with in this area.Some how either I or golf now screwed up my tee time and we showed up a day late.I was expecting a problem when this was pointed out,instead the people in pro shop said they would take care of it,they did and did it with a smile. Gave me a slip for starter who was as friendly and as welcoming as could be. Course was in amazing shape,fairways and greens were perfect.So nice to find a place where they still care how their guests are treated.

Wide open course, hard to get in trouble here. This course is always in great condition. Plush fairways and fast greens.
Great Golf
This is one of my favorite courses to play. I have to this course approximately 7 times in the last 6 months. It is always in perfect shape and the staff are very professional and friendly. It also helps to get an 8"30 am tee time for $16. Great course and great price.

always enjoy coming back to this course. The vistas on the back nine are well worth the drive to Ocala to play Stone Creek.
