Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club - Panther/Bobcat Course
About
There are three nines at the Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club, which can be played individually, consecutively, or as three different 18-hole combinations. Each nine has a unique layout with different challenges but all share the same lush landscape covered with stately trees and water features. The Panther/Bobcat combination offers a mix of narrow and wide fairways, some of which are lined with trees. A few strategically placed bunkers come into play along the greensides and there are also water hazards coming into play on a number of holes. Located just northwest of Tampa along the west Florida coast, the nines represent the best of Florida golf. Silver Dollar also boasts some of the area's most affordable rates, which makes the versatile layouts doubly appealing.

We can then all over the course Photo submitted by Gilbert3585586 on 05/27/2013
You get what you pay for.
The cost to play is less expensive than most local courses and there is a reason. I enjoyed the lay out of the course. The course has three nine hole courses to choose from. We played the Gator and Panther. The greens were in good condition and we’re the highlight of the course. T boxes were ok and manageable. The fairways were in poor condition with more crab grass then turf. Not much fun when your ball is in the middle of the fairway sitting in clumps of cab grass. To many local courses the area in a lot better shape to choose from. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra ten bucks and play a better course. Your handicap will Thank You.
Tee boxes like a camels back, unfriendly residents, overall not great.
Glad to see course was not overbooked and slow play
Ok course to work on your game…
This was my second time playing there and it’s a decent course for the price(I used a hot deal and a $10 off coupon) I only paid $19 for a 7:50 a.m tee time. The greens are good on this course for the price. Fairways are okay(but a lot of bare areas with dirt and weeds right off of them). Tee boxes are decent , but definitely not good….I am getting back into golf and this is my 5 th rd in 5 years. I used to play 2-3 days a week and a single digit …now I am struggling to get pars…humbling game to say the least! I would recommend this to someone who wants to pay a fair price, and for decent to average golfers …low handicaps can score low on this course because there are quite a bit of par 4’s under 400 yds, and if you can hit your driver 250 or more fairly straight and have decent short game there are a lot of birdies and pars to be had. I will play again, because I live in west chase area and the west chase golf course is way to expensive.
Fun Course
3 Par 9 Courses to choose from Gator- Panther is the best , nice par 5's and scorable with good drives . Stay out of the ruff. Some Tee Boxes need leveled and redone.
Golf Vacation
Love the layout here. I guess heavy in season use was hard on the fairways and tee boxes. Greens are in great shape. Fairways are bare in spots.. Still don't let this deter you its a great layout.
Great greens.
I’ve played all three courses and the greens are consistent and in amazing conditions. Always tons of wildlife; deer, turtles, gator, wild turkeys, birds. Tee boxes have a little to be desired.
Valie
Most tea boxes not in very good shape. Fairways decent. Greens nice but fast but very consistent. Staff very friendly. Players always friendly.
fairways are dried out and very sparse grass, greens are fair with spots of bare ground and some weeds.
Shotguns Over Golf
Been here many times. Yesterday they were midway through a multi-day TRAP SHOOTING contest with hundreds of competitors on what used to be the driving range. I pity the people in that community and the adjacent EAGLES community because of the sound. We could barely hear each other in the golf cart. Fairways are mostly bare and hardly a decent lie. Greens look nice but are as hard as a rock, and do not hold even high shots. Tees were shoddy.
DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU SUSPECT RAIN. There are no bonnets on the cart to keep your clubs dry.
Not sure I will be back.
Course in rough shape
The course was really in rough shape. I will not play there again.
