About
There are three nines at the Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club, which can be played individually, consecutively, or as three different 18-hole combinations. Each nine has a unique layout with different challenges but all share the same lush landscape covered with stately trees and water features. The Panther/Bobcat combination offers a mix of narrow and wide fairways, some of which are lined with trees. A few strategically placed bunkers come into play along the greensides and there are also water hazards coming into play on a number of holes. Located just northwest of Tampa along the west Florida coast, the nines represent the best of Florida golf. Silver Dollar also boasts some of the area's most affordable rates, which makes the versatile layouts doubly appealing.

Great course and great value for the money charged !!!!
It truly has a great 4 & 3/4 stars !!! The 1/4 point deduction is for the tee boxes for the men. There shouldn't be a hump like a camel right up the middle ! Hard to find a level driving stance !
Grounds crew needs to spread some dirt

Enjoyable round of golf
Course was not busy due to the cold/windy condition, so the pace of play was our own. Well maintained course, but I don't like an in-course out-of-bounds as on hole #8.
The staff was much more friendly than our visit last year when we were admonished for paying such a low rate.
This course is a lot of fun
Plays long and you need to really place your shots. I like the scenery as well not in neighborhood. Greens in good shape. Fairways are just fine.
Greens in good condition and with contour and lots of water to deal with
Decent challenge, whites make it moderate while the blues make some second shots a challenge to make the greens.
Great course which is in very good condition
I have played this course a number of times on my trips from the UK. I have always found it to be in good condition but this time it was ecellent. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. I was allowed to tee off early to keep clear of a competition and so not be held up. All in all a great experiance.
Good value for the money!
Played this course after the arrival of the Snow Birds and was amazed that the pace of play was very good. The course was in reasonable condition and the greens were good but a bit slow due to the over-seeding. It is a fun course and not too tough, just about right for high to mid handicappers.
Not the friendly place it used to be!
Desk staff has changed and they were very arrogant. Also, "locals" think it is a private course and do not abide by the rules or use gold ettiquet.
EXCELLENT GREENS
This is a relatively flat course with mediocre fairways but excellent greens. A tough test of golf from the tips.
#17 is a monster that can ruin your round in an instant.

Friendlly, leisurely paced golf course. Excellent greens at a great price. This course has been well maintained and much nicer since our last outing.
challanging enough for everyone
Last time here the greens were suspect. But this time they were in good shape. Plus with 27 holes you can play here and get a different lok each time.
cant beat the price, dont expect greatness
great, helpful, and friendly staff and prices are great during the season as well. gets a lot use because of it so the greens are slow and tee boxes not too even. also has a shooting club next door so hope you can concentrate with shotguns occasionally going off. but again, $14 for 18 holes after 3pm and they have 3 different 9 hole courses to choose from to play
This is a unique course located in a Modular/mobile home community.
I love Siver Dollar. I travel to Tampa often to visit elderly parents who live in a neigboring golf community however, I seem to play Silver Dollar at least three times during a weeks visit. It's nothing fancy but, the course is always in good condition, they have 3 nine holes courses and with the right Hot Deal from Golfnow I get more bang for the buck. I consider Silver Dollar my home course while it Tampa. The facility is a little dated but it serves the purpose.
