Bluewater Bay Resort - Marsh Course

The Bay side is in terrible condition. Greens and fairway looked really bad. Greens were nearly imputable due to weed patches everywhere. Almost felt like they were in the process of reopening the course. I didn't see a lawnmower until around the 9th hole. Ironically I saw plenty of worker's with weed eaters cutting areas back that clearly hadn't been cut in weeks.

The Marsh was in much better condition. Greens were maybe 7/10, Bay was 3/10. Fairways were in good shape, just overall exponentially better than the bay.

Greens and T boxes were bad. Some greens were unputtable.

Course is in very poor condition. Greens do not roll like greens at all and are covered in crab grass and many other blemishes. Tee boxes are either over grown or have no grass at all. They stopped putting money in this course a while ago.

Wow did this course suck! We paid for 18 but quit after 9. Most of the greens had no grass. The fairways were about as ugly. I can't express my displeasure with this course enough - avoid at any price!!!!

This place is trash. They shouldn’t even be taking peoples money. And when we talked to the manager about how bad things were, he laughed at us and said he was happy taking our money as we were walking away. They don’t even have drinking water on the course. Don’t waste your money here. It’s terrible.

We booked our tee time thinking the price was reasonable and it had a three star rating so it must be okay. Wrong. The average golfer wouldn’t want to play it at any cost. They have literally almost lost the Bay course. If they were smart and they had any interest in in happy customers they would have you play the Marsh course twice. But management wasn’t interested in feedback. Don’t play this course.

Course reviews scared me to death, but the course has huge potential. If they don’t start watering/hot spotting a few greens on the Bay nine, they will soon lose them. I speak from experience, we just replaced a few greens at my home course. The Marsh 9 was in better shape and I saw sprinklers working. It’s a shame a golf course with such a great layout and potential is being neglected. I saw a huge sign out front that the course was “community owned/operated”. Hope the community steps up to save this course. I enjoyed the course, but I had to move the ball in the fairways (and on some greens).

The course layout is great, but the courses self is in very bad condition

Greens and tee box on front nine almost unputtable. Back side much better. Pace of play excellent. Not over crowded. Still a long way to get back to its heyday condition. Still a good day of golf.

It’s a shame the condition this course is in. The worst condition I’ve ever seen a golf course in, in my entire life. Grass seed everywhere, sprinklers on, no grass, unputtable greens. They charged us full price for a 4pm tee time, then we were told downstairs carts had to be back by 7… it’s sunny in June here until 8pm .. so we couldn’t even get a full round.

It’s a shame because the course layout could be beautiful with good maintenance but with this ownership and staff that will never happen. I wouldn’t play here if I lived on the course and it was free.

Played here months ago and most of the course was in good shape. Came back today Tee boxes were all sand. 75% of the greens were literal scalped dirt. Not sure what happened but hopefully they can get it back in good shape

Fairways and roughs looked like they’ve been mowed twice this year. The greens barely had grass on any of them due to the grass drying out. Tee boxes were just sand. The wooden bridges make you feel like you’re about to fall through as you’re driving on them. Only way I would ever come back to this course is if they renovated everything. Had my 18Birdies set up and ended up having to turn it off due to a Par 5 being turned into a Par 4 and a SHORT Par 3. They don’t have coolers unless you buy one from the pro shop, and they don’t provide drinking water throughout the course because they never put them back. Only plus side was cheap drinks.

So first time playing this course. It was reasonably priced at $45. However the course is in horrible shape. Some of the worst greens and tee boxes I’ve ever seen. The fairway were better but not great by any means. I will say the staff were very friendly.

I used to play this course several years ago when my family vacationed in the area. The course has since gone downhill and requires a lot of work. Even the golf apps aren’t up to date on the course layout changes. It used to be 27 holes and is now 18. The tee boxes were primarily all sand and uneven even. Fairways are poorly maintained and shots that were hit in the fairway were sometimes hard to find. The greens were punched and patchy. We only saw two workers out during our front 9 and decided to not play the back nine. I hope the ownership/community can salvage the course.

It's a shame the way they have let this course go. It used to be a nice golf course, the conditions of this coarse is far from desirable now

I played this course in Apr and it was in fair condition. Today was unsatisfactory. The greens are punched and sandy, which I won't even hold against them since all courses do it. The grass was so long in the fairways and around the tee box's that we literally lost balls that were hit in the fairway. It looks like the entire grounds crew quit. There was standing water on a green, and it hasn't rained in 4 days. There is no cart service and rhe restuarant/bar doesn't open until 4pm. The driving range was sold off and is now a houses. Usually I jump at the opportunity to play a round for $50...I feel like we were ripped off at that price point.

Tee boxes were sand and not kept up. Hard to determine where the fairways started and ended. The greens were air rated with sand on them. No one told you. Not worth your time. Never again.
