Bay Course is the Worst

The first 3 holes on the Bay course had less than 25% grass coverage and were so bumpy we didn't even attempt to putt. It was impossible to putt. Getting to holes 8 and 9 took forever as they were completely separated from the first 7 holes. The fairways looked like cow pastures The Marsh course was slightly better ( at least it looked like a golf course) but we had to stop after the first hole on that 9 due to rain.

We got a rain check for half of what we paid but if we EVER go back we'll play the Marsh course twice. They couldn't pay me to play the Bay course again.

Bluewater Bay Greens

I don't know what happened to the greens and the overall condition of the course. The greens have been punched and sanded, but there is little to no grass under the sand, just dirt. See attached picture.

This used to be a wonderful, 36-hole, track, that has shrunken to just 18 holes. You'd think with half the number of holes to care for, the greens keeper could present a pristine, well manicured golf course. This is not the case. It is just short of "cow pasture" designation. I know ownership changed recently... I can only assume the new management team does not know how to care for and run a viable golf course. It's a shame. I won't be spending my money to play there anytime soon. Let's hope some critical feedback will move the new owners to spend some money and make Bluewater Bay a viable golf venue once again.

Nice course, at least fix the greens.

I love the course and overall layout, but for Pete’s sake, put some money into the greens. They are horrible when they could easily be the best in town.

Terrible layout, worse conditions

The course is in terrible shape, the tee boxes are almost entirely sand, the greens are diseased and the fairways/playable rough have large dead spots. Even if the course was in better shape the layout is difficult with very narrow sections and strongly discourages using driver off the tee. It is a tough round and offers little in the way of fun. Lots of blind t shots and weeds in the rough made lost balls a far too often occurrence.

Avoid

Course is in terrible shape from the greens, fairways and tee boxes. Not sure they own a mower. Staff was good. No beverage cart or food available

Terrible Course

Been playing golf for 40 years this is the second worse course I have ever played… worst was in Outer Banks but this one was close . I would not play this course for free…terrible greens … terrible fairways… terrible T boxes… even terrible golf cart paths…. Any resemblance between this and a golf course is purely accidental.

Work in progress

This is a good course that just needs more attention.

It’s a nice layout with some great holes.

Management issues seem to be getting better.

Course maintenance is what needs to happen.

Know what your getting into playing this course and you will have a better day. The price is right. Help this course stay around and give it a chance.

This course was in horrible condition. No signage to help you get through the course. For the first time ever I actually quit my round after 9 holes. Should be removed from golf now

Terrible course

The layout is awful. Your driving all over the place to find holes. Conditions are bad. Sand tee boxes, spotty fairways, out of control rough, and greens have disease on marsh course.

Bay course greens are a little better but not much. If you were to hit a couple good shots to overcome the course, the greens would take it from you with crabgrass roots all over them.

Will never play this course again.
