Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club

The course was great in terms of tee boxes and fairways and rough but the greens were horrible. They were rock hard. I mean seriously I think if I hit my wedge into the parking lot my ball would have had more bite then these greens were giving . On top of that they were extremely fast like fastest greens I have played in my life. Made short game not very fun. But other than that it was a fun course. Pace of play was horrible took about 2.5 hours to finish the front nine which isn’t really too much fun. Good value, tough course but not perfect to say the least.

Course is looking good. Fairways have grass and the greens are starting to fill in. Was a little wet from all the rain.

First time playing here and was very pleased with the course for the money spent. Greens were growing back nicely from being aerated. Definitely going to play again within the next month once the greens are recovered.

Course was in great shape. Our only observation to share was the corse had 2some behind our group, and we are all better than average golfers. We understood the etiquette to allow a 2some to go ahead of a 4some, bit this 2some was more like beginners, and the fact there was another 2some behind them that could have been combines, it makes for a long round when a 4some is faster than a 2some

Course in great shape compared to others in this price range

We've played Heritage Isles a few times in the last 30 days and remain impressed with the layout and overall condition of the course! Now that we're getting some rain it's getting even better. The greens were recently punched so they need about another 7 days to recover (hence my 4-star rating). Otherwise, a great course and practice facility combined with a friendly staff ... we'll definitely be back for another round! Get out and hit 'em!

I had moved to the Tampa area about 2 months ago and saw that Heritage Isles is about 5 minutes away from me. It's a nice looking club with golf and tennis facilities. There is a restaurant and pro shop. It's clean and very professional looking. The staff is generally friendly and the cost to play was reasonable. I always keep my expectations low regarding the conditions of a course. My handicap is around 14 and I do expect to play challenging courses to develop my game. Heritage Isles did not disappoint. Beautiful layout. Each hole is well manicured and the pace of play on a Sunday moved quickly. I definitely would recommend playing this course from the blue tees in order to challenge yourself.

The course ended up being a very good value for the money. Greens had been aerated about 3 weeks ago, but they were in good shape (though tough!). Some of the bunkers were waterlogged from rain but still playable. Fairways and tee boxes were pristine. The course has a fun layout where you can't just hit driver off every tee. We enjoyed it and would definitely come back.

This is one of my favorite courses and played quite often. However the past three times out (approximately 3 weeks apart) they greens have been aerated with no notification published by GN or mentioned by ProShop personnel at time of check in. I realize GN can only publish something when advised by the golf course. This being said all 18 holes have been punched for a second time so far this summer. If you can avoid the punched holes the ball rolls pretty good and be thankful. If not declare at the start that it's a two putt max because it's bumpy especially around the cups because this is one of the best public courses in Tampa and gets a too much play for them to shut down for a few days to finish working on the greens as they should have done.

The entire course is in great shape. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are all green and very well kept. The only down side right now is that the greens were freshly air rated so the little holes are still there. Despite that they are incredibly fast and a little difficult to read. I really like playing here.

Course was in great shape. Only hit on them is the practice facilities. Small amount of spaces for the water driving range. Not much of a chilling area and practice bunker is not maintained too well. But certainly still usable. Good food in clubhouse. All in all though and good facility.

Even though the course was recently aerated, the greens were rolling nice and in good condition. There were a few that had some small areas of fungus but pretty typical of a Florida course in July. The course layout is very well done.

Course tight and challenging as always. Great experience!
