Lexington Oaks Golf Club

Never played this course during the week but was so crowded. Had to call the club house twice to bring a cart out. Carts weren’t charged. Made for a long round. Course was wet for some reason , not much rain this time of year, my guess from the sprinklers watering for the over seeding. HVe played this course before and was very pleased. Greens we’re in decent shape.

Was very much looking forward to seeing this course. The course failed to mention on GolfNow, or at the course when I checked in, that there was a women’s golf league on Thursday mornings. Not until the marshal checked us in did they mention we’d be waiting. We left on number two when there were three tee times stacked up at the second tee box waiting on the women’s league in front of us. I’m sure this is a lovely course but the communication from the course was atrocious and thus I didn’t have six plus hours for an 18 hole round. We teed off at 10 and were sitting on the second tee at 10:45. If you have golf leagues publicize that information so people know beforehand.

Course in great shape greenest rolling true and fairways and in very good shape

Played with 12 buddies who rarely take a bath and have few teeth. The Pro-shop lady and starter/ranger did a wonderful job. The cart lady was the best. Had a beautiful smile and a pitcher of fresh made Arnold Palmer. The pace was pretty good for a Sunday. The greens were fresh cut and rolled true, The fairway were in good shape , most divots were repaired. I had fun, even though I played like Janet Reno on Redbull. Will play again!

Course really overseeded including greens! We played this morning at 8am and greens not cut!! Omg!! You had to kill the putt just to get it to the hole!! It sucked! So hairy! Asked one of the maintenance workers on 3rd hole if cutting greens today and he Said NO! I asked why? He said its winter and we cut either every other day or couple days!! If you don’t mind to putt much, this course is for you. My group totally frustrated and not worth $40 paid. Will not be back unless we find out greens cut every day. Just ridiculous.

Very nice course to play. A good challenge but not too tough.

It’s not typical of me to write reviews on golf courses, but I had to speak to the experience of the pace of play here. Teeing off at 11:25 and unfortunately being booked behind young guys who played between 5 & 6 in their group meant for a very long round! To make matters worse, then comes a twosome behind us who hit down toward us and then hit down on us, very narrowly missing my senior citizen playing partner… I believe it’s the obligation of the crew at the course to manage pace of play and the staff at this course was not visible after we checked in. It’s a shame because I really liked the layout and LOVED the greens. Given the price I paid and the experience I had, I rate the experience rather than the course. My experience was a 2 1/2 at best because of the pace of play.

Ok, I paid (via Golf Now) for 3 players, which includes 2 carts. I was asked if a single could join and was ok with. The single paid for his cart and I then had to pay an extra cart fee ($10) because they only "book foursomes". This situation is a first for me and I pushed back on the logic (I've already purchased 3 tee-times, that includes carts). I wasnt told, when asked if a single could join, that I would be charged the extra fee. So, beware of this policy when you play this course... Also, the starter took an attitude with me when I tried to clarify w the front desk person. I had purchased a large bucket of range balls and couldn't properly warm up as I was dealing with the $10 situation; he wanted us to t-off earlier (10 minutes) and I refused. This was an unfortunate situation... they should tell people, up-front vs pulling them off the driving range!

The course overall was nice although very soft around the greens. Must attack the greens no rolling up. The rakes are dangerous and leave you with splinters, don't pick them up without a glove on. Girlfriend got a few splinters from rakes. Otherwise nice course
