About
Situated amongst the foothills of the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountains, Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon boasts 36 holes of scenic championship golf. The two courses, the Champions and the Legends, are some of the area's most popular. The older Champions Course is host to the PGA Tour Q-School and it is a Nationwide Tour Qualifier. It is such a popular tournament location that it is known as the "home of the Southern California PGA." The Champions is a challenging but playable layout with tight fairways and numerous steep-lipped bunkers strategically placed throughout. There is also thick, treacherous rough that will swallow any errant shots. Also included in your tee time is unlimited use of the practice facilities, which include an all-grass driving range as well as chipping and putting greens.

Poor Pace of Play management
Played here on 4/30, everything went well until the 13th hole where there was a pile up of groups waiting to tee off, no marshal around to figure out how to move people along was going to be literally like a 45min wait to tee off the, so I decided to turn around and leave spoke with the course manager and said I need to email my complaint wouldn’t give me a voucher to come back and play. Horrible management customer service for a course that wants to be known as a PGA style reputation course.

Challenging course
Very nice course. Very challenging. A little bit of disrepair with wooden bridges falling apart and roped off. Fairways were well maintained. Greens very smooth and run fast. 5 tee boxes to choose from to increase the challenge. Finished in under 4 hours even with a mild delay to start the back nine due to a tournament.

Was not how I pictured this place haha
Seemed from reviews it would be par to some of the best course in S. Cali. The checkin girl was ok. Walk down the stairs to get cart which was fast. Seems a bit too many tee times bunched up so no real flow with players even though Marshall was nice. The layout along with high handicaps clog it up. Hard to get a steady flow going due to wait. Anyways after 6 hr round, I do not think I will be back. Surprisingly not as nice as one would have thought. Also lots of little rocks on the green itself were a turnoff haha. It is challenging but kind of not worth the hype. Oak Quarry or Talega have more benefits for the quality and price.

Too crowded
5 1/2 hour round , after a 25 minute delay teeing off. aPlus, the greens were unusually fast. Wouldn’t hold even the highest approach shots, even on the elevated greens. A little water would certainly help.

Some improvements needed
Course was in decent condition. Sand traps were hard and not much sand and the rough was pretty deep.Greens were good.
Starter told us there was a beverage cart on the course but never saw it. He also felt compelled to suggest that we make sure to go to church on Easter and praise Jesus, that he deserved that. Maybe not the most appropriate comment?

Both champions and legends course are fair and challenging
Staff is very professional and friendly, both legends and champions courses are in extremely good shape especially compared to other courses that are still using Covid as an excuse for not maintaining their course. I would highly recommend Tukwet Canyon

GREAT COURSE except for a few things...
The Course is FANTASTIC!!! But, there's a thing that bothers me...
I played my round on Tuesday with a 10:48 A.M. Starting time... I did bring a cooler with my own food, because everutime I get to the Turn, the Halfwsy House is closed. And when I finished my round, the Restaurant was closed!!!
That would be my BIGGEST issue... The Course played GREAT!!! (Even though I was TERRIBLE!!!) The pace was pretty good, didn't have to wait too long between tees...
Weather was BEAUTIFUL!!!
We just bought a Home here... So, you'll be seeing me there a LOT!!!
