About
Situated amongst the foothills of the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountains, Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon boasts 36 holes of scenic championship golf. The two courses, the Champions and the Legends, are some of the area's most popular. The older Champions Course is host to the PGA Tour Q-School and it is a Nationwide Tour Qualifier. It is such a popular tournament location that it is known as the "home of the Southern California PGA." The Champions is a challenging but playable layout with tight fairways and numerous steep-lipped bunkers strategically placed throughout. There is also thick, treacherous rough that will swallow any errant shots. Also included in your tee time is unlimited use of the practice facilities, which include an all-grass driving range as well as chipping and putting greens.

Snowbirds it’s time to go home
It’s this simple. This is the best course in the IE. Don’t listen to the bad reviews. Long rounds because of snowbirds coming from Palm Springs. Time to go home guys

Sandless bunkers
Overall the course is very nice, my only complaints are no sand in the bunkers and pace of play.

Poor customer service
I got there and brought my wife as a spectator paid for my golf at the front desk and got a soft drink when I got done with 9 holes I sent my wife up to the front desk to get me another soft drink and the guy who checked me in said they don't have drinks here there was a cooler right behind him I wrote an email immediately back to this website regarding the poor customer service and attitude of the front desk employee and no one ever responded I even mentioned this to the cart, who I later saw on the back nine and she looked puzzled as to why the front desk clerk would say this

Enjoyable round, finished in 4.5 hours. No bathroom facilities on the course, (there were but they were closed) . Too bad the clubhouse was closed, coulda went for a beer afterwards, but overall an enjoyable round of golf on a sunny day

Fun
Great service very friendly, efficient. Greens were quick, lots of sand ( bunkers) pace of play was slow. Most of the fairways and greens were in very good condition.

Pace of play is insane
Honestly, pace of play is about 6 hours When they overbook the course it was insane.

Not well maintained around the greens and bunkers
For the money you pay to play the 2 Morongo courses, they should be well maintained compared to cheaper courses. It is not. You will miss a lot of greens here and having a decent lie to lob over bunkers is what you expect on a well maintained course. Lots of bare lies close to the greens here and bunkers are a disgrace. They are glorified dirt with pebbles in them to damage your clubs. Also the pin placement for weekend play was atrocious. Holes were located near crests and in difficult locations on most holes. For a tournament or during the week OK; but on a weekend like today, it slowed play down tremendously. One player in our group 5 putted because of the treacherous location and he was a 12 handicap. Also, remember any course in this area will have windy conditions most of the time which makes this challenging layout all the more difficult.

Not the Best
Decent track but issues with wet areas and dry patches. Lots of large sand traps that were being worked on but still contained rocks. Garbage around the course needs to be cleaned up. Unappealing. Would be helpful to have carts signs before the greens. Was quite far back when cart started to lock up. Staff inside and starter were very nice. Would be a great price if course was in better shape.
