About
Situated amongst the foothills of the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountains, Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon boasts 36 holes of scenic championship golf. The two courses, the Champions and the Legends, are some of the area's most popular. The older Champions Course is host to the PGA Tour Q-School and it is a Nationwide Tour Qualifier. It is such a popular tournament location that it is known as the "home of the Southern California PGA." The Champions is a challenging but playable layout with tight fairways and numerous steep-lipped bunkers strategically placed throughout. There is also thick, treacherous rough that will swallow any errant shots. Also included in your tee time is unlimited use of the practice facilities, which include an all-grass driving range as well as chipping and putting greens.

Interesting Design but poorly managed
I expect a Saturday morning tee time to be slow but 6 hours is ridiculous. They had a marshal but he wasn't seen as we ran well over an hour over pace waiting for 10 minutes minimum on the tee boxes. It did give us time to view all the trash all over the course.
When better management takes over the course, it is a fine design and one worth the play.

Awful experience
The pace of play was horrible. there where 4 holes on front nine that there were three groups waiting to tee off. Our cart broke down on hole 11. We called the club house 5 times and spoke to 4 different people. No one ever showed up to pick us up. We had to walk back to the clubhouse. There was no management of any kind on site to address this problem. I am very disappointed on how you can run a golf course in this manner. I will never go back there

Great course great conditions
Thought everything was great tee boxes were a little beat up and bunkers full of water but greens and fairways great

Still a good course!
Been coming out to play this course a lot over the years. Haven’t been out in the last two years though and loved the champion course. It’s a challenging layout and not meant for beginners, but a lot of fun. Narrow in some parts, and challenging greens. The shape was okay, not spectacular but better than most courses right now. Greens were healthy and rolled pretty good. Just were a little slow, especially in the morning. Gets windy here in the afternoon so I recommend playing in the morning. Will be back as long as they don’t hike up the prices!

Great layout, course not in the best shape
I have been playing this course since it opened in 2003. The cons : Only the Champions open not the Legends too. Tee boxes in horrible shape. Bunkers need a lot of decent sand No starter or ranger. Club house is not open and all facilities are closed in early afternoon. Pros: greens are in excellent shape and roll fast. Staff is very friendly. For the most part the course is in excellent shape. Pace of play was 4 1/2 hours. Greens fee was only 50 dollars!
Would definitely play this course again and will hope the condition will improve in the near future

Bring your own food M-Th...
Course is in poor condition..
Some fairways are muddy and no grass.
Sand traps are dirt traps with tiny stones that scratches your club..
And..
Bring your own food Mon-Thur as their restaurant is closed (open only Fri-Sun)
There is, however a cart going around the course with some sandwiches and drinks but that cart is hard to get a hold of.
Personally I will not play at this course again with conditions like this.

Horrible pace of Play
The management of this course has serious issues. First of all the course was in great shape with excellent greens. Other than that truly awful. It took 3 hours to play 10 holes on a Wednesday! The 11th hole had 3 groups on the tee so we gave up. Also no place to buy any refreshments even at the turn. I love the course, but I have no interest in wasting my time on this kind of pace of play. Other courses in the area do not have the same issues, so I'll play them.

I played this a couple of times
Very good layout. Really friendly staff. We had a forty five minute weather delay due to frost. Only played nine as it was very slower

dissapointing
No place to get food or drink at the turn or after the round. No cart girl seen and 0n the 8th hole we finally called the club house. Cart girl showed up on the 15th hole. Over 50% of bunkers had to be played as ground under repair. The sand in those bunkers that were playable was like cement as there was virtually no sand in the bunker.
Condition and playing experience of the "Legend" course has gone down hill

Sandtraps
All of the amenities of the courses are very nice except the sand traps are just way below par for the course conditions don't understand why you don't put real sand in those bunkers when you hit out of them it's like hitting out of concrete

very slow play no marshal.
no marshal so players took sweet time over 4.5 hour round lots of wet areas on fairways with extremely long grass,. A lot of tee boxes had little grass. no restaurant services during weekdays. Finished at 4.50 and could not use washrooms every thing closed up.
Legends in much better shape than Champions course. also 1 hour faster
