Convenience
I live in the neighborhood so it's convenient for me to play here

FairwYs are very thin and greens are poor. Sand traps were well cared for.
Sugar mill GC
Greens are getting consistently worse, carts are very old & it appears membership is down, at least from an outsiders perspective. If there’s any hope for this course to continue someone must make an offer on it & restore it. At least make it public, at present I think the public can play here but only after Noon. It’s pretty much a ghost town at present..

Fairways are thin and some greens in poor condition but sand traps were well groomed.
Greens were not good
Greens were in rough shape. Needs lot of watering. Renovations needed at the watering structures.
Sugar mill GC
Sugarmill is a golfer friendly layout along with its sister course Southern Woods GC,, both are very nice simple challenging designs. One hole #5 was wet from a recent rain so they made it a temp par 3.. not a problem, greens still had some top dressing on them but really had no effect on putting. Greens hold nicely on approach shots. Couldn’t ask for a more pleasant day. Tee off at noonish, no one in front & a nice couple behind me so there wasn’t any pushing at all. Great day
Needs work
Greens were poor, fairways thin, and tee boxes sandy. To the contrary sand traps were decent as were roughs.
Not what I expected
The course condition was disappointing. Fairways were good, Tee boxes a bit barren, Greens were terrible...barren, multiple dead spots covered with sand...Not what I expected...
Sugarmill
Played this course last year it was terrible, but it's coming back now.
One of the better courses around
Overall the course was in decent shape. There were four or five greens that need to be worked on to improve them. The fairways were in great shape. The tee boxes were okay. I play every week at different courses and I was surprised what great shape this course was in.
Sugar I’ll woods
Almost every green had a good amt of sand covering the bad spots & there were quite a bit of bad spots which made putting a little difficult but all & all it was ok, I think most of the courses are going thru the same affliction & I’m sure it’s just temporary. Played at noon & pace of play was great. Played w/ 3 other guys & they were great to be around, had a good time
