Nice interesting layout that’s not too punishing on bad shots. Good overall condition and didn’t have to lift ball to putt. Greens don’t break as much as you see, mostly breaking last couple feet.

You could play sporting games here and shouldn’t complain. I’ll play again.

Played this course many times a few years ago. Became nearly unplayable the last couple years. Read reviews on how it has improved and they were right. The turnaround has been amazing. Will definitely be back in our rotation and as usual the staff there is terrific.

Haven't played here in quite a while due to poor reviews. The recent reviews aren't lying. Conditions are pretty good. A few rough spots. Needs water, all the courses do. I liked it and I'll be back.

I've seen this course come up on golf moose and other discount golf websites. For over a year, I've seen a parade of one star reviews. I noticed an uptick in the review ratings and decided to take a trip to Homosassa. I'm so happy that I did! This course is not perfect. The roughs need more grass and there are still some patchy areas on some fairways. But WOW, what a fun layout. The conditions were better than your average public course at this time of year. The staff were super friendly. We saw the drink cart twice. Drink carts aren't on most courses on the weekdays any more. With one or two exceptions, the greens were in very good condition.

I strongly recommend this course. I'll be back again and if it stays in this condition, I hope to be back often.

Last year, no grass, course rough. This year, lots of work done. Tee boxes nice, fairways had grass , greens (pin location) better shape, rolled nice. Definitely will return again soon 👍

Been over a year since I golfed this course. Stopped after frustration with course conditions. Heard it improved so I figured I would give it a chance. Was happy I did course was much improved grass was back on tees,fairways, and greens. Its trending in a positive direction. Greenskeepers have put ton work in and it shows. Will happily come back.

Course has come back! What was once a course in decline is now getting back to normal. A couple greens are diseased, but overall it’s in really good shape.

Big improvement over the last few months. Fairways and tees are mostly green. 2/3 of the greens are very good, rest have some patches that are growing in. Overall very positive. Will start playing this course more.

I stopped using this course last year due to deteriorating conditions. I decided to give it a try after reading recent positive reviews. It’s not at 100% yet, but it was enjoyable to play. Fairways and most tee boxes were in great shape. A couple greens are still under repair, but looks like they’re working on them. I was glad to see the course is coming back!

They actually have grass on the fairways. Coming along very nicely. Some greens under repair but very playable.

They were slow, but you can't expect everything to be done yet.

Well worth the price. Will be back!!!

Let me start off by saying this is one of the best layouts around. I used to play here a lot when it was semi private, and it was always one of the best kept secrets. I read some recent reviews saying that they were working hard to get the course back to what it used to be, but I have to say I just don’t see it. Fairways were decent, but the tea boxes were basically sand bunkers. The greens were hard to decipher from the fairway. It’s like they added bunkers in the middle of the greens as there were often times more sand than grass. The vast majority of the course is filled with weeds. The one great positive is that there was absolutely nobody out there so pace of play was excellent.

Has been 3 months since I played this course. The transformation of the conditions is excellent. Greens are good to fair. 2/3 of the greens are very good, the rest are a work in progress. Most of the fairways are green and grassy, tees a mix of grass and sand. Bunkers are all good. Decent pace at 3.5 hrs.

If you haven’t played Citrus in a while because of their conditions, you can be happy to know that they are working their butts of to get it back to being playable. I was out there 8 months ago and it was a complete disaster. I then played this last Monday, and the improvements are REALLY great to see. It’s still not what it used to be and it has to more to go, but I can already tell this place will be great by October or November.

Course has gone under recent repair and they reopened it and it played very nicely. Just a few greens and tee boxes fixed away from perfect. For the price it’s well worth it! Love the layout of this course glad to have it back

Greens, tees and fairways are significantly improved. Major renovations were implemented the past month. The rainy season will continue to green up the course.

You can see them working hard to improve this course. I heard that they will be closed all of May to really full on rehab this course. Excited to see it back in its tip top shape again. Definitely one of my favorite courses in the area.

Greens are decent, some patchy areas that will green up soon. Tees and fairways need water. Pace was excellent at 3 hrs. Good value. Staff is super.

this coarse is nice to play but the fairways and the green were terrible . Need lots of work. no grass lots of sand .
