Nice layout, poor condition
This used to be a lovely course but it has not been well maintained. We were told there were some temporary greens on back 9. Turned out to be all but 10 and 18 and the condition of the temporary “greens” was appalling. The ordinary greens were in poor shape too and didn’t seem to be being worked on. What are they doing?
Getting better
The front 9 was better than the last time. They reopened the back 9 but have temporary greens. Not the best but I know they are trying to refurbish the course.
Very rough condition
This was mine and my brothers second time playing this course. Let me tell you that the course conditions yesterday 8-31-2023 were absolutely horrible. High grass and weeds were in every fairway!! Yes I said Fairways!!!! The green on #7 was not puttable because of bare muddy spots. They are supposedly opening up the back nine in a few days but there is no excitement from me considering the terrible conditions on the front nine. The only real positive was the pace of play. We finished 18 holes in 3 hours because we were literally the only people on the entire course. I highly doubt I will ever go back considering the high price tag of 40$ and it is a real shame since I live only 5 minutes away. I currently do not recommend this course in its current condition for the money. How hard is it to run a lawnmower through the fairways to make them somewhat nice looking??!! End of rant.
Needs help
Course conditions were terrible. Grass was so high we lost numerous balls. Cart paths are super bumpy and missing pavement. Disappointed in condition.
Needs work
Understand that the course is trying to improve, but the front 9 needs attention. Grass was horribly high, lost several balls. Fairways need weeded. Disappointed.
Had to play the front 9 twice
This is a nice course that me and my brother played for only 25$ each. We had to play the front 9 two times because the back nine is under renovation. The greens are nice and pretty fast. The course seems to be well-maintained. They have nice fast electric carts. They also give you free range balls. I cannot wait for the back nine to open up by Labor Day hopefully. $25 is a very good deal to play this course. the $50 they normally charge for early morning is too high. In my opinion I will play again if I can get another good deal through GolfNow.
Disappointed but hopeful
I liked the fact that practice balls were included in the round but was told upon arrival that only 9 holes was open. Nothing was said on GolfNow. The part of the course I was able to play was a nice layout but was showing signs of neglect. There was a broken sprinkler in the middle of hole 8 just spraying water randomly. Hopefully when the other nine is finished, they will do some work on this nine as well.
Note: if a course is not fully open, there should be a notation on the GolfNow website. Really unacceptable.
Getting Better on the Front Nine
Still only 9 holes open, back 9 closed. The front is getting better as rain has helped green up the fairways. Greens are mostly good, a few had bad patches. Pace of play was excellent, 3.5 hrs for 18 holes.
Disappointed but hopeful
Unfortunately when we arrived, we were told that we could only play the front nine twice to complete 18 holes. The course was not in good condition and appeared neglected. I have wanted to play this course for a while and was just disappointed at not being told ahead of time through GolfNow that only 9 holes was open. One really positive aspect is that range balls are included in your round. It was definitely nice to be able to warm up on the range for no extra money prior to playing. Hopefully when they finish rehabbing the other nine the whole course will be brought back to its original form.
