Conditions aren’t great but they are improving,course layout is great .. hopefully they get it back into shape

Got an excellent GN hot deal and played second time in two weeks. Goid conditions tee to green with friendly staff. Well worth the drive from Orlando.

Course condition needs work, layout is great, price was exceptional.

I read the reviews from the past few months unfounded and found the course to be one of the better conditioned public courses in the area. The overseeded fairways, tees and greens made the course enjoyable to play it was one of the best values in golf in the aarea

Winter rye making it all look so good. Plays fair, greens true, all looks good. Worry how it will all look in mid May when the winter rye burns off. Great rates and fun play for now. Tuff course for most, play shorter tee boxes.

There was a tournament. NXXT women. Walking. Very slow. 5 hours. Redtail should not book groups right behind them. Leave at least an hour behind the last group. Or better yet, let the golfing public know what's going on before booking a tee time.

Being a temporary transplant from Ohio, I find most of the courses down in Central florida to be overpriced for a non-resident. I took a chance on this course at $50 and it was fine. The fairways and greens are in decent shape, certainly playble. The rough is well, rough- mostly dormant grass and piles of sand. If you are looking to get out and play a round of golf at a decent price then this is fine. If you want pristine conditions, you will be disappointed. If it were closer to me I would prefer to play here as opposed to paying $120 for marginally better conditions.

The greens, tees, and fairways look really good with the overseeding. But there is an overall problem with the irrigation, which means the rough is rough. Really liked the course layout. Terrain and bunkers are well placed and create a unique course from central Florida. I would go back.

People do a disservice to these courses by giving them 5* reviews when they are far from it.

Yes, a few of the fairways looked good. Maybe 4?.?

Yes, a few of the greens were decent. 3-4.

A couple of the tee boxes were decent.

But most of Redtail (Maybe holes 4-15) looked like a dirt bike track. Just bad! Additionally, there were pin placements placed in the worst part of some of those bad greens. 1 tee box was so slanted, I found it difficult to keep balance. It's extremely surprising that homeowners in the tolerate a course in such poor condition.

Positives:

The layout of the course is outstanding! It could easily be a championship caliber course. Everything outside of the golf course was great. But the golf was just bad. If I didn't have an early Sat morning tee time, I would have been outraged with the $50 greens fee.

Great potential, but right now it's just not a good course. 2.5-3* is generous.

This course had a great layout. The tee boxes and fairways were green. The greens were green and inconsistent. The roughs and around the greens were in rough shape.

Just like the title. Thanks to winter overseed the conditions are good. Layout and nature are great. Price is fantastic for ‘busy season’.
