Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Getting Better
The course was in very good shape. The tees were spotty, but the fairways and greens were in very good condition. Big improvement from when I was out there a couple of months ago.
Rounding into Form
The greens are good shape the whole way through with only a few spots of bother, fairways are pretty decent. Staff is friendly too. It’s a fun layout to boot. Oh, I’ll be back
Best so far!
I have played a number of courses in the area over the past few years while on vacation and this is by far the nicest course so far. The staff was friendly and the course was in great condition especially the fairways. Also a nice open layout so you don’t have to worry too much about errant shots.
Not what I expected
I had only heard good things about the quality of this course from a friend who golfed here frequently in years past. He and I went there and we were quite disappointed with the shape of the course and how it is maintained. Will not be coming back to play here ever again.
Eagle Dunes
Course under stress from the drought. Tee boxes and greens being impacted by the lack of rain. Love the layout. However, course conditions will cause me to look elsewhere, rather tan to drive up here. I will be back after the course gets some good soakings.
Not perfect but pretty good
A couple of the greens were a little rough, but overall, the course was in good shape. Super friendly staff too. Definitely will be back!
Better than the reviews suggest
I’ve played Eagle Dunes many times over the years. While it’s true the course has been in better shape in the past, some of the recent reviews feel a bit overblown. The greens need attention, sure—but overall, it’s far from unplayable. The fairways have grass, the tee boxes are in decent shape, and for the price, it’s hard to beat. Pace of play was great during my round, and I’ll definitely be back again soon.

A good day of golf
I enjoyed the experience because it has it all, good layout, condition, practice area and friendly people. Never rushed and I’m definitely going back.
