Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

CONDITION OF THE GOLF COURSE
HAVE NOT PLAYED THERE IN SEVERAL MONTHS BECAUSE THE CONDITION OF THE COURSE WAS TERRIBLE BAD GREENS BAD FAIRWAYS ECT. BUT TODAY ON THE OTHER HAND WE PLAYED IT WAS IN GREAT SHAPE GOT THERE GREENS BACK THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL AS WELL AS THE FAIRWAY WAS A REAL PLEASURE TO PLAY THERE AND WILL BE BACK THERE WITH MY GROUP NEXT WEEK
Good day
A few greens had bad spots, but in general better than most greens in the area. Fairway grass is good, tee boxes decent. Very much enjoyed the round. We will be back.
Great layout, spotty course conditions
Cool layout, huge potential. Spotty course conditions but reasonable prices more than make up for it
Ok needs work
Greens and bunkers need a lot of work price was fair for the shape of the course. This place has so much potential to be a great golf course just needs some attention. I will play it again
Greens
A few greens are a little rough. Getting better every week. Grounds crew working hard to improve them

It was a rough winter, but course is really coming around. Much, much improved in last few weeks. Greens are much better and getting better every day. If you were disappointed recently you need to come back and see how much better it is now
Wow ! Can't believe the improvements !
Love this course, it was struggling there for a little bit but it's back ! The greens and fairways have really come along since the last time I played here. It was a joy to play the other day and the greens were rolling great. Staff was great as always. I'll definitely be back soon and often.
Course Condition
I’m happy that I went for myself. Except for a couple of holes (1 and 6), the greens were much in much condition than what some previous comments suggested. I really like this course and happy that the effort is being made to bring it back (of course, the recent rains must have helped. Once the price is reasonable, I will definitely be heading back soon!
Greens are getting MUCH better
Last played about a month ago and the greens needed work. Got a great deal to play and gave it another shot. Asked the guy in the pro shop if they had made any progress on the greens and he said they had. Putting green didn’t show it but as we worked our way to the back there were signs of significant improvement and overall coverage. There are a few greens (1 and 6) that still needed some work but overall not bad. Nice to see them getting this course back to its roots with great greens again!
Eagle Dune update
Greens have improved some since my last round, gone from C to B-, still work to do to
get back to accustomed conditioning. Was told that their greens keeper got hired away to Alaqua Lakes.
Fairways are OK although still too many weeds, should be able to address with needed herbicides. Course is a
better value with Hot Deal pricing

This course is getting better by the day. A good course for the money
Overall opinion on the course
The course is getting better every time I play it. Grounds crew are working hard to get it up to par. Greens are coming along fine. A great value for the money

-terrible putting surfaces (weeds, bare spots)
I wont be back under the same ownership and management.
Rough everywhere
Course was very dry, bunkers were overgrown and greens were bare which made putting difficult. Layout was good. Course needs attention.

I've played this course since it opened. Love it. Course was always in great shape. Over the last several years it has declined. I haven't played there for the last 2 years because of its condition. They keep saying {lack of rain}. I play all around the Orlando area and no course is that condition. Today we tried it again. Big mistake. Fairways have no grass. Only 2 greens are playable, we went to automatic 2 putts. The only good thing about this course was the ice cold water on the course. They should close it up.
Pasture Golf
Poorly maintained. Very disappointed in the condition of the course. Played here 8 years ago and it was well kept in good condition.

Won't play again.
Jim’s view
Since central Florida has had no rain to speak of, most public courses are hurting for moisture. I’m giving this course an average as most fairways and greens were playable.
