Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Getting better everyday
The course is putting a lot of time and money into fixing up the greens that were damaged over the winter. The condition is great, the speed is good, and all the bridges have been rebuilt.
The pace of play is great, we play in less than 4 hours.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Book a time and tell them what you think.
The Golf Course is coming back!
Due to rain and hard work by the staff the course is coming back after a difficult dry spell. Staff friendliness is always 5 star +.

This course seems to be well maintained and the layout is challenging but fair

Usually play on Friday. Played Saturday- slow pace. Had a good time tho
Getting Better
The course is improving, now if it would just rain.
Good value
Play this course last winter decided to give it a try again. Conditions were very dry. Some of the greens were patchy and bumpy.. Bunkers could use a lot of work lots of weeds. For the price, it was OK if you really want to get a round of golf in. Seems to me, maybe they are short on funds to keep this course in tiptop shape.
Course conditions
Every week getting better and better. Central Florida has had very little rain. Grounds crew working hard under dry conditions and it’s showing their effort
NOT for WOMEN
Ladies tee was on the same tee box as senior men 16 of 18 holes and it is a long course already. It is designed for men by men. I played with my husband who hits from senior men and he even thought it was ridiculous.
Had a blast!
I thoroughly enjoyed my first lap around Eagle Dunes, The layout provides a good challenge while also being forgiving in some areas. I love that the golf course isn’t strung too closely to the neighborhood houses as other courses do in Florida. It feels like a truly dedicated space with the course in mind first. Some patches of fairway are a bit bumpy or rough but you should be hitting pass those spots anyways. My crew and I will be absolutely be back.
Watering Works
This place is in good condition… it appears they use their irrigation system for more than an excuse for a dead golf course… grass growing and good conditions considering the Florida drought.
Green Conditions Worsens
I’ve been playing this course since 2007 & never seen conditions decline so much. Fairways are not bad, but greens were horrible, mowing the weeds shorter won’t help it, they needs to be redone
On the rebound
One of the best course layouts in Central Florida. The greens are coming in nicely. Don’t let the reviews from past months deter you.
