About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Great layout needs work on fairways.
It is a beautiful course but the fairways are not in good condition. Greens are good and pace play was good.

Linksy golf
Eagle Dunes has always been tan, bumpy and hard. I was surprised to see green fairways (in places) and slightly softer conditions out of the fairways. People expecting lush green grass side to side should look elsewhere. But you want a great test of golf with elevation changes and true, speedy greens... check out Eagle Dunes.

The greens were good. Fairways and tee boxes were bad ( very bad ) I will probably not play again I drove 1 hour and 20 minutes to play bad

Great Course
Been playing here for years. Love the layout, greens, and the staff. The greens are always in great shape, and for this time of year the rest of the course is very playable. I play 5 times a week and travel all around Central Florida to play. This course always has the best greens and the rest of the course conditions are equal or better to most of the courses I play, other than the courses that over seeded their fairways (which is an expensive process). All in all I love the course and look forward to my next round there.

Long time coming and long time til going back
Wasn’t overly disappointed with the conditions until I was asked about how great shape the course was in when I stopped at the turn to get something to drink. LOTS of areas need work. Greens were okay. Desk person told me how “quick” the greens were……not quick at all. Quite shaggy. I have wanted to play this course for years, but it’ll be years before I return. Value is decent, but quite disappointed with the overall conditions. Just because the greens are okay at best doesn’t make the course in great shape. Not putting in work on the tees and bunkers are general eye sores and playability issues. I’ll continue to go down the road five minutes next time I’m in town and honestly they aren’t in great shape but still head and shoulders above Eagle.

Greens were better than expected
The overall course was good , fairways a Lil rough in places but the greens made up for that . Very pleased with greens conditions and speed .looking forward to playing again .

out of the rotation
it’s disappointing to say, but eagle dunes is officially out of my rotation. the course conditions have deteriorated to the point that it is not enjoyable. and the pace of play is abysmal. the price is good, but the negatives outweigh the positives and i don’t foresee it improving. it’s a shame because the layout is so fun and the greens are usually great. i will not be stepping foot on this property again in the foreseeable future.

this should be a good course during the summer
nice layout overall…challenging at times. a little pricy given the condition…afternoon summer rates should come down, while course conditions will improve. great course for testing your sand game…both long and short…waste areas galore! i mean massive compared to most florida courses. not much issue with tree obstacles…although there are some narrow winding fairways on some holes with all the grass bunkers.

Horrible condition
It was the worst golf course I have played in years. It was a horrible shape it was like a a pasture.

Eagle Dune
Hard to judge in the dead of winter. Surprisingly huge sand traps/waste areas! Once the Bermuda rough comes in I think it would a challenging course. Love the GN hot deals!!

Terrific Day
Blustery conditions but we did get the wind at our back on about 7 holes. Course played great from tee green. Greens were super slick with false fronts and difficult reads. Definitely a challenge. Its a course you can’t overpower and take your lumps. The staff is a great group of guys and willing to accommodate your requests.
