Eagle Dunes Golf Club

I've played here perhaps 20 times in the last 2 years, and I love the layout and the very nice greens. However, my buddy and I are close to dropping Eagle Dunes from our rotation.

First, the "driving range" is a joke. You are given balls that were made in 2002 and you hit them off of mostly dirt into a valley. So dialing in your distances is not possible.

Next, some of the fairways are so rough that it jars your teeth to ride over them. The weeds and bare spots have taken over some holes.

I know it will take some cash to save this course, but (listen ownership) this course is worth saving!

I’ve played this course probably 50 times over the years. I have no idea what other reviews are talking about here, but Eagles Dunes is in TERRIBLE shape! Tee boxes bad, fairways worse. Greens were okay, crabgrass starting to pop up everywhere, greens will be ruined in another month and will look like Red Tail (which is also now terrible). $60+ to play a course that isn’t worth half that. Take it from someone who knows what a golf course should be, play somewhere else! Eagle dunes has now made the do not play list with my group!

Terrible driving range with balls that need to be replaced. You hit into a gully so no judging distance when practicing. Beautiful course layout ruined by owner's refusal to put water to course. Not one good lie in 18 holes. Stay away until owner decides to stop cheaping out on putting water to course on a daily basis.

The course is not difficult, it has it moments only due to yardage of the hole and some position of the pins. No tree to speak of to get in your way. You can in most cases rip and grip it and let it fly. It's fun and I enjoy playing there.

Ridiculously slow play. Fairways almost nonexistent. Greens not too bad considering dry conditions. Will not be returning anytime soon.

Greens were in decent shape and pace of play was good. rest of course is in terrible shape Tee boxes are in bad shape and very hard to even find a good flat spot to stand. Fairways were horrible. Many dead areas and 50% of shots from fairways and around greens seemed to be off dead grass or mud. Almost seemed like you were punished for being in the fairway by having to hit off dirt or dead grass. Paid less than $40 after golf now and extra discount and was disappointed at that price. The layout of the course is great with lots of variety and several blind shot holes and a few tight fairways to hit. if they can fix the fairways and tee boxes it could be a nice course to play in the future but it needs lots of work. Also had several pin placements that were less than 10 feet from edge of a large green or on a very sloped part of the green so gseemed like whoever placed the holes was really mad at the golfers or trying to make the pin placements evil! Managed to find a couple very small areas on a few fairways that had some really nice grass and if most of the fairways were like those areas it would be great to play.

Greens very good fairways were average , for the 65.00 I think it should be better but maybe it’s just going through a rough patch hope it gets better

Another community golf course hanging on. Nice elevation changes. Tees are beat up and fairways were in average condition. Greens were in good shape and were fast and putted true. Got a Hot Deal on GolfNow otherwise the prices they normally charge don't appear to match the quality of the course. Maybe inflation has just hit every golf course now. It's quite a drive so I probably wouldn't play it again anytime soon. Red Tail, which is not far from this course is a better quality play/experience for similar price.

Wind was howling making everything tougher Tee boxes have improved . The crew is patching up many areas with fresh turf. The staff are super customer service oriented. I’ll keep coming to see these guys and play this challenging course.

The coarse was not in the greatest shape. Probably the lack of rainfall over the last couple of months had something to do with that. Still is a good tract. Some fairways were better than others, however the greens were in great shape.

This is a little bit of drive from Oviedo but it's still my go to course for good conditions and value. Staff very friendly as well

Tee boxes have had done work since I last played. Plenty of roped off areas letting the grass grow. Sod has been thrown in a few areas to help the condition of the course also. The greens are still slick and quick. The staff are always super. Will be back soon.
