About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

My foursome had a great time at Eagle Dunes. The staff was very friendly, especially the ranger and starter. Great value for the price we paid. Course was in good shape overall.

Cool, breezy day. Course in good condition.
Greens rolled well but were very fast which was a problem on a few holes with poor pin placements. You could not get your ball to stop near the hole. The ball would roll 15 feet off the green. I had one putt roll to the hole, almost stop, then pick up speed and roll off the green and then 20 feet from the green.

played the round in about 4 1/2 hours no Florida course takes that long club house looks like a trailer

Eagle Dunes
The 429 expansion has made this course accessible to a wider group of players. It is about 40 minutes from Disney . Well worth the drive. Links style with lots of topography. Plays tough in the wind.

Greens Improved
The course was in respectably good shape - greens improved from when I golfed there a couple years ago. Much sand and few trees. With 30 people in the club house, including workers, without masks during this pandemic I will not return to Eagle Dunes until the pandemic is over.
Average
My reason for giving this course the rating received is due to the excellent greens! The fairways suck! The rough sucks! The layout is very average. I would not recommend my friends to play this course! I flew in from Atlanta to play this course based on a few of the reviews, and as it pertains to the greens, we’ll let me say that the greens are probably some of the best I have ever played, but the overall condition of the course! No sir! If the staff, and grounds crew is able to improve the fairways and rough, this course has the potential to be one of the best in central Florida’s area.

Great Lay Out
Great layout!! The back nine was fantastic!! Definitely would play hear again. The once of play was slow being New Years Eve and the weather was fantastic 89 degrees.

Great Greens @ Eagle Dunes
Always fun to play Eagle Dunes & Thanx to GN for the Hot Deals Special. This day, my bad luck to follow a 28p "Member Group" outing on an already crowded course; we even had to wait for carts to come in off 18. The course is crowded, cuz its so much fun to play on these greens. I got paired with a nice couple, and conversed while waiting on every hole. I played the front9 well (breaking 40 w/DbleBogie #5, Birdie #7 & 8), but #10 is my nemesis hole, and bad start to an even slower back9. At any rate, I can't wait for my revenge round @ The Dunes.

Great layout
The front nine in some areas are a little rough and the front nine greens are ok. The back nine is phenomenal and the greens are great. It is definitely enjoyable.

A little rough
The fairways are a little rough when driving the cart. Greens were really fast. Overall a great day of golf.

first time, but i'll be back .. condition and layout were very nice .. shot in the 80's, but 1st time here .. so i accept the challenge ..
