Fleming Island Golf Club
About
The Golf Club at Fleming Island has a diverse landscape that allows for two distinctly different nines. The front nine of the golf course is wide open with waste areas and wetlands to create a classic links feeling. In contrast, the back nine was carved from dense forests, giving a more secluded atmosphere. There are sand bunkers strategically placed across the rolling landscape and water comes into play throughout. The fairways on this golf course are misleading, they are not as tight as they seem from the tees. Although the Golf Club at Fleming Island can be a challenge, there are five sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Very Nice Course
I have been playing at Fleming Island for several years now.
Lately, management has put some money into maintenance and amenities. The condition has improved as a result.
The staff is very friendly, especially in the 19th hole and on the course.
An excellent value for the money.
Course has improved a lot.
The greens and fairways are in great condition. Tee boxes in general are good. Sand traps could use some work. Consistency is lacking as some had a decent amount of sand while others were hard packed. I’ve always like this course and it’s layout and will continue to play there.
great day for golf
beautiful day to start the memorial day weekend.
the course was in great shape, haven't seen it this good
in a long time. had a good day with my son.
Made my day
You ever play golf and had a great day this round with my buddy from Arizona was great everything bout this course was great and fun
Challenging
Course was In great shape. Played at 6450 yards and was challenged on the 1st hole, which happens to be the #1 handicap hole. Great variety of holes, none of the holes are similar.Play can be slow due to the difficulty of keeping shots in play.. The rough is deep and thick, fairways are in very good shape along with the greens. White tees at 5800 yards is short, and 6450 might be too much from the blues. They have 18 blue/white tees marked on the card which plays at 6150 yards.
Nice day of golfing
The greens are in very good shape, consistent and receptive. Most bunkers are in good shape but with more of a dirt like material than fluffy sand. Fairways are in good shape. No cart service on a Saturday which was disappointing.
Starter and pro shop attendant were very friendly, Nice driving range and putting greens. Pace of play was also good for a Saturday 3 hrs 40 minutes.
This course is on my weekly Play list.
Super great shape.
Course in great shape. Can't wait to play it again
enjoyable
Great value for the price. Very friendly staff. Interesting layout and in good shape.
Where is the marshall?
First of all the course is in excellent condition and looks great.....second week in a row played out there.....but the pace of play was very slow....it wasn't that it was over crowded, it just needed a Marshall monitoring some of the players....hitting mulligans, moving slow just no golf etiquette. It's an issue that's getting bad at all courses....understand this is a business and you're trying to make a profit.....but please monitor and make it enjoyable for everyone.....thanks....
Interesting Track. Good Conditions
The course layout is very interesting and offers a good test for all skill levels from multiple tee boxes. Plenty of water but most of it is not in play. The fairways are well manicured and there is not much rough to speak of with no challenging lies off the fairway. The green complexes are well maintained and roll smoothly though not very fast. We were probably the first group out so pace of play cannot really be measured and we never saw a group behind us all morning. The refreshment cart was around at least 3 times during the round and the attendant was friendly. The folks in the Pro shop were also friendly and helpful. The pricing is comparable to most other public courses in the greater Jacksonville area. It will likely join our regular rotation of courses that we play. A fun time.
Vacation golf, yes!
On vacation course was in excellent shape. Tee boxes were recently aerated and needed to be dragged as the plugs are numerous. No real effect to play. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Signed up as a single was advised at check in that play was open and that I could wait for the others for our tee time or just go on out and play. Since I had some family awaiting my return I went out and played. After 4 holes or so I ran into a 3 some and since I do not like players pushing me I gave the 3 some plenty time to play and I was joined by another single. All was good and weather was excellent. Would recommend course to others.
Jaxmanz
Good conditions overall at this course which is one of my favorites to play in Jacksonville. Challenging from the assorted tee boxes but fair. The first hole gets your attention right away. #1 handicap. The greens are in good shape, smooth and receptive. A little slow but there was no problem putting. The practice greens are representative of what’s on the course. The bunkers are also in good shape, easy to hit out of. Nice driving range but I didn’t see a chipping area. Very friendly staff from the Pro shop, starter and the cart girl.
This course will be on my weekly play going forward.
