About
The Golf Club at Fleming Island has a diverse landscape that allows for two distinctly different nines. The front nine of the golf course is wide open with waste areas and wetlands to create a classic links feeling. In contrast, the back nine was carved from dense forests, giving a more secluded atmosphere. There are sand bunkers strategically placed across the rolling landscape and water comes into play throughout. The fairways on this golf course are misleading, they are not as tight as they seem from the tees. Although the Golf Club at Fleming Island can be a challenge, there are five sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Great condition
Great course for the money I've played here a bunch and is usually in good shape. Some of the bunkers could use some attention but overall the greens and fairways were great!
Great test
Course was in superb condition with greens rolling fair and true. Lots of water so you've got to hit it fairly straight. Overall a great test of skill.
Perfect fairways
Although I didn't hit but a few, the fairways were the best I've seen this year. Greens rolled well. Great time!
Delightful Surprise
In town for TPC and decided to try this course on spur of the moment as it was featured on GolfNow. Back nine shorter than front but back offers lots of interesting challenges to your game. Sloping greens were fun to try out your short game approaches. Great practice facilities. Course located within a development and very scenic as you travel hole to hole. Enjoyable day and excellent price. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.
Outstanding
Ciurse was in great shape. Fairways well maintained and greens well groomed and true. Staff was great. Only one complaint and that is that the yardages on the scorecard don't match the signs on each hole. They varied quite abit which cancause some problems on the par 3s. But that was very minor. Overall great course!

Course in great shape, fairways best I've seen this year. Greens fast and nice.

The Administration seems to make a great choice: put money on golf course more than flowers and paved car path, BRAVO ,

Have played this course many times. Always in good shape and fun to play. Our group was not on tee sheet due to error between golfnow and course.
Great course!
The course is in great shape! It poured all day, the day before I played. By noon of the next day it was drained and playable. Greens look great. Great value as well.
Great day in Fleming
This golf course was very challenging and very tight but fair and playable.
This course is nice but difficult from the blue tees
This is a very interesting and challenging course depending on the tees you choose to play from. The layout and greens were good - tees not so good. The clubhouse, pro shop and staff were excellent.
Poor Rental Equipment!!
I travel to Jacksonville often to visit family (who live on the course), so we always make it a point to golf. I usually rent clubs there and never had a problem before, but now they are under new management. Despite being a slow day, the only left-handed clubs they had to rent (for $32!) were missing a putter. When I inquired, they looked all over and couldn't find one and finally gave me a right-handed putter and told me to "use it backwards". Seriously. I won't be returning to that course again.
Great Track
This is a super nice course. Well laid out and super nice site lines. Late winter and growing season just starting. But fairways and greens in very solid shape. Greens a bit slow but firm. Played on a Thursday afternoon and place was wide open and pace was excellent. If you play around in Jax area you should add this course to your list of must plays. Other than one long scratch from green to tees it would also be nice course to walk.
Fleming Island
Overall was a nice layout with some very challenging holes. Proshop staff was very curteous and accomodating. I was not accustomed to the wet playing conditions even though it had not rained in a few days.
Great Course
Nice course. They let me play 30 minutes before my schedule time. The greens were in good shape. The only draw back is that the cart path is not all concrete I played with this married couple and they were great company.
ALL DAY
Very slow play. they needed to get the rangers out there to speed play up. Only saw the cart girl once.
Enjoyable and challenging course
We've played here in the past and have always found the course to be in good shape and a fair golfing challenge. The pace was a little slow for our taste but being a Saturday, not surprising. Considering how much rain we've had, the course had it's wet spots but for the most part wasn't in bad shape. The greens were a little spotty but overall not too bad. Look forward to returning when the weather improves to allow the course to dry up and return to its normal excellent condition.
