About
The Golf Club at Fleming Island has a diverse landscape that allows for two distinctly different nines. The front nine of the golf course is wide open with waste areas and wetlands to create a classic links feeling. In contrast, the back nine was carved from dense forests, giving a more secluded atmosphere. There are sand bunkers strategically placed across the rolling landscape and water comes into play throughout. The fairways on this golf course are misleading, they are not as tight as they seem from the tees. Although the Golf Club at Fleming Island can be a challenge, there are five sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Bad conditions but very wet
We played FIGC after a lot of rain and the conditions were cart-path only. The greens are spotty but in their defense, there had been lots of rain and it was sloppy. They really need to pave their cart paths so that the overall look is better.
Excellent Value for the Money
Although the course was very wet from heavy rain the day before and was cart path only for the riders, I thoroughly enjoyed this course. It was challenging, but fair. Interesting that water is in play on most holes. The clubhouse staff was very friendly and accommodating and the starter paired me up with someone quickly. The greens conditions were a little inconsistent, but overall the course was in very good shape for North Florida in mid-February. I will be back if I have the chance.
great course
Love this course, very challenging from the almost back tee's. The greens are in great shape in comparison to other courses around town. Only a few bumpy greens on the back nine. Very slow play once again on a Friday afternoon. I guess its spring so available tee times are condensed.

I have played this course many times previously and it was always in above average condition. Good greens, good all around, but this time it was wet and sloppy, cart path only and the greens were not there usual very good condition. Some were bumpy...most were slow.
This course has character :)
I like the course layout, it is a long course I played from the Blue and very tight. It requires that you keep it in the fairways. The course is well maintained. I cannot wait to play it again
Fun but frustrating
This is a fun course with good variety, but play with someone who knows where the hidden hazards are. The elevated greens sometimes made good shots end up in unfair places. Minor complaint: the starter was not in control of the pairings - but once underway, all was well.
great shape
First time playing this course. Was pleasantly surprised. Excellent condition for this time of year. The course was very busy, they could use a ranger in the busy times. I will plays again for sure.
Good course, good value
Like this course very much. Moderately difficult for straight hitters and very difficult if you spray the ball around because nearly all fairways surrounded by woods and water. Very well designed holes for a typical flat Florida course. At $28 with cart, it is a great value for December in Florida.
Great price, Great value
Fleming Island Golf Course is one of the best all around courses in the area. If you like a flat course, don't play here. It is far from flat. Hence, the moderate difficulty.

Quiet For A Saturday
First time back in ten years. Found that they were still seeding the 2nd week of November, so putting was iffy at times. I enjoyed the round, although not sure if I will be back any time soon.
Very nice course, very good condition, slow pace of play
The course was in very good shape. The greens were fast and the putts on the undulated greens rolled very well. The fairways were cut very short and which rolled an extra 15-20 yards on drives.
Quite a few holes require accuracy in the fairways or your ball would roll off to the edges. Same with some greens that were elevated.
The pace of play was slower than I expected for a Friday. Our round was a little more than 4.5 hours.
The practice facilities were very nice with a range and a chipping/putting green within viewing distance of the first tee box so you could time your arrival to #1.

The course was nice & challenging. The play was slow, yet we finished in a little over 4 1/4 hours.
Great course - bad weather
We played 6 holes then the rain began and the course was flooded. We missed a locker room.
