Fleming Island Golf Club
About
The Golf Club at Fleming Island has a diverse landscape that allows for two distinctly different nines. The front nine of the golf course is wide open with waste areas and wetlands to create a classic links feeling. In contrast, the back nine was carved from dense forests, giving a more secluded atmosphere. There are sand bunkers strategically placed across the rolling landscape and water comes into play throughout. The fairways on this golf course are misleading, they are not as tight as they seem from the tees. Although the Golf Club at Fleming Island can be a challenge, there are five sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Good Spot Outside Jax
Was at the beach on vacation and my father-in-law and I went out to play Flemming Island. It was a nice place, although I was expecting a little bit better conditions considering it is the only public course in the Jacksonville area with a 5 Star rating.
The conditions of the course were not bad, but they would not be what I consider 5 star. The greens were very good and the fairways were also in good shape. Although there was some weeds on the tee boxes and in the rough, it wasn’t bad. I would give the conditions 4 stars.
Pace of play was the biggest issue. We were the third twosome in a row behind a foursome and the foursome really slowed us all down a good bit. We sat on the last 11 tee boxes for a good while and even joined up with a single behind us.
I did appreciate having a beverage cart and water stations at the clubhouse and on the course.
The layout wasn’t bad, although the back nine really gets tight in comparison to the front nine. It looks to play a lot shorter on the back, but it mostly due to having 3 par threes on the back.
All in all this is a place that is worth playing especially if you can get a tee time for under $50. It is totally worth that to play here. Get out, have fun, and go low. Enjoy your round at Flemming Island!
Fam day
I play Fleming a lot...had a great time...course was in great shape....no hold ups....the staff is always great...I highly recommend to all to try it....
Best in Jax
FI is always among the finest Simi private courses in the Jax area. Tee to green the course is in great shape. The greens never disappoint and are receptive to shoots Greens were a little slower than usually, but we had just had quite a bit of rain. They were still probably running 8-9, so they were fast enough but still very fair. Amenities are great and the clubhouse is always buzzing with activity.
10/10
Great condition, super knows what he’s doing and you can tell. Great clubhouse and cart staff super friendly.
Best bang for the buck
I’m for Louisville Kentucky and stopped by for a quick round. The course was in great shape and the staff was super friendly.
Nice track
Course was in great condition only complaint not on Course cart path only played while in town for work would play again lots of water but most fairways wide open greens were in great condition
Beautiful course
Great value, gorgeous course. Only down was cart path only due to weather conditions.
Great Course and Great Value - Friendly Staff
Played as a 2some, 1st tee time of the day @7am (a group of members had teed off about 20 min before, never saw them). Pace of play never an issue, finished round in a little over 3hrs. Course conditions fantastic from tee to green, a little wet, but was expected due to lots of rain recently and the early morning dew. The greens were in great shape, very few blemishes if any.
James, pro shop, was awesome!
Very good
Fairways fluffy, greens and tees great shape . Overall hadn’t played in 12 years course was fabulous.
Always a treat
Love the layout and course condition. Always well groomed and challenging. Highly recommend playing here if you want a nice treat
