Fleming Island Golf Club
About
The Golf Club at Fleming Island has a diverse landscape that allows for two distinctly different nines. The front nine of the golf course is wide open with waste areas and wetlands to create a classic links feeling. In contrast, the back nine was carved from dense forests, giving a more secluded atmosphere. There are sand bunkers strategically placed across the rolling landscape and water comes into play throughout. The fairways on this golf course are misleading, they are not as tight as they seem from the tees. Although the Golf Club at Fleming Island can be a challenge, there are five sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Nice day with my son
Crowded but things moved along. Tees in so so shape, fairways were good and greens were good, for time of the year. Nice layed back atmosphere, very good value and will go back.
Good Greens
Good course nice to play. Nice fairways good greens an good price at 35 to 40 dollars.
This course requires a variety of shots.
This can be a long course depending on the tees you play from. You have to play a wide variety of shots. Sometimes just playing to the 150 marker is the smart play. You can take some chances, but if you can't hit the landing areas your in trouble. A definite repeat play.
Nice Course
Enjoyed this course. Challenging, but fair. Greens rolled true. Fairways were moderately firm. Pace of play was good. Staff was friendly, and would have given a 5 star rating, but said they normally would charge me to allow my 4 yr old son to ride with me. Most courses don't charge for this.
course in real good shape
love playing fleming. course in good shape. greens rolled a little slower than usual but read well. staff always friendly and accomidating.
Flat but full of features
Even though there are no hills to deal with, this course has everything else -- sand, water, vegetation and an interesting layout. With five tees, it will test all skill levels.
Great value, friendly staff
Enjoyed the course and staff. I have never had a bad experience using GolfNow.
Enjoyable and fair course!
My wife and I both loved this course. As a 10 HC and she a seasoned beginner, the course gave us ample opportunity for par. A few of the greens had high slopes on the left or right that made hitting them challenging, but then also made it easier to pitch the ball. We look for fair courses without all the gimmicks and yet that are more than just the basic north to south layout, and this course was perfect for our games.
not impressed with anything.
Booked this course and was very dissapointed. The course had recently been overseeded and greens sanded. There was no mention of this on their website or on the GolfNow site. I was entertaining out of town guests and was embarrassed when I thought I would be taking them to a nice course. Most golf course let you know when there are "other than normal cionditions" at their facilities and even offer discounted rates. This course did neither.
Course was in great condition and is challenging
This course is a nice track with some nice holes. A nice place to play.
They recently sand the greens which is expected this time of the year. The fee was reduced to $20.00 a round that made it worth while.
Fleming Island always has their course ready to play. Just like any course in the area, proper care sometimes is a inconvience but I wouldn't have it any other way. You appreciate their efforts to provide each player the opportunity for a good round of golf.
Love Fleming Island
Fleming Island has the best fairways of any course I play in N. Florida, by far. The greens are very good, but those fairways are a thing to behold. Beautiful surroundings, great layout and very nice clubhouse. This is a long golf course though. I play from the blue tees and it's driver-mid to short iron on the par fours and laying up on all the par fives. I especially love it when I can get the low Golf Now rates to play there. It tempts me into going every time I see a $13 or $15 tee time. I'll stop whatever I'm doing and pack up the golf clubs.
Great Location, nice lay out
Have played many times and it is always enjoyable. Great location and pace of play is comfortable.
great conditions
I play all the courses in Clay county and Fleming Island is always in top shape. This is my favorite course.
Fun to play
Nice course. Interesting hole design.
Good value on the green fees.
The couse was fun to play.
The speed of the round was excellent, the greens were in good shape and the tee boxes were better than averge. I enjoyed playing the course and will certainly return at a future date.
Staff was very nice
I felt the course was in decent condition, however could have better signage as far as where the next holes are. I have played a great deal of golf, but found the direction a bit confusing.
This course has holes with character
Nice place great price we have found the pace of play a bit slow. Happy to play again. Very friendly people operate this course
Great staff and very well maintained golf course.
I have been golfing for about a year and a half. During that time I have played on about nine or ten different courses in the Orange Park Jacksonville area. This is my favorate. I love this course for many reasons. I thought a course this nice would be very difficult but my two best rounds have been here. The course is not to challenging and very well maintained. The staff is the best. I got lost my first time going there. I wanted to get there early so I could hit some balls before I started. I got there right at my tee time. The gentleman at the desk told me to relax, take my time and hit some balls before I start. I am glad I have been given the opportunity to write a review. Last time I golfed here I was upset with myself for not going back to the office when I was done to tell them how much I appreciate them.
Overpriced value for price
Will not go back. Staff were fine, actually quite friendly. Cart girl was nice. Course was not much to look at, though. It was pretty easy as far as water or bunker play. Although, the bunkers were in horrible condition when I was there. There were MANY dry patches on the fairway and the greens. I've played on $26 courses that were better maintained. I'd say look elsewhere...
