Duran Golf Club - Championship Course
About
Duran Golf Club is a local favorite, known for being the best public course in Brevard County. The club is also home to the area's only lighted nine-hole, par-3 course. The course stretches across fertile terrain that was formerly a sod farm, lending some of the lushest playing surfaces on Florida's east coast. The championship layout has a links feel with subtle mounding that frames large, undulating greens. The beautiful landscape comes into play throughout the golf course. Sparkling lakes and ponds, lush grasses, and stately palms all add to the beauty and challenge of the round. Coastal breezes come into play on several holes thanks to the seaside location. Duran Golf Club's practice facility is almost as popular as the 18-hole course. In addition to the par-3 course, there is also a large driving range with mounded areas where you can practice with uphill and downhill lies.

Duran rarely disappoints
Duran Rarely disappoints. The fairways are uber wide but you have to be the right angle and distance to attack certain pin placements. That is how Duran protects par.
Wide open
Compared to usual price it's worth the golf now discount. It has huge fairways you can't miss and prairie like views.
Great condition
Course was in excellent condition, staff was friendly. Great Value!
Nice place
The course would of been prestiene if it was not for recent storm damage. It's my favorite course in the area
The course was in great shape and enjoyed playing it.
At the golfnow rate of $23, this was a bargain. As much as I love the course, I rarely play it based on the high rates compared to other courses in the area. Will continue playing here if I can find reduced rates, but too many other nice courses at reasonable prices.
Always an enjoyable round.
Course in great shape. Challenging but fun test. Pace was slower than usual, but they had a Jr. Tournament earlier. Also some younger guys in front of us clowning a little having a good time. Sometimes we just have to relax and enjoy. One of my favorite local courses.
Wide fairways beautifully maintained
Duran is a fun course. Not terribly long, and it has wide fairways. There is plenty of water, and other hazards for your ball to find, however easy to navigate away from. The course is maintained beautifully and is one of the best conditioned courses that I have been on in Central Florida.
Open for Scoring
While this course is generally open, you have to be careful of a few fairways where a fading drive down the middle can run into water right due to fairway slope. Greens are fast and a little bumpy but you should have a chance to score well if you play from the tees that match your game.
it is a nice course if you dont pay to much
the airation was not posted and so the best green was the first and practice. after the front nine the back nine was more intresting like too diffrent layouts.
nice course nice day greens were a little hard
nice layout generous fairways friendly people greens a little hard but overall a great value
Duran 5/6
We played with tremendous winds. The pins were in sadistic locations. But, all in all, a great course. I would definitely return.
Great course Great value
The course was in good shape and you choose how difficult you wanted by which tees you played
Overall great experience on the course and off the course
We had lunch at the club house prior to our round. The staff was very friendly and ensured that our meal was out and we were in time for our tee time. The course staff was on the ball when we made our way to the starter and they got us out on the course ahead of our tee time. The course was in great shape and the pin placements for each hole was noted in the cart, there plenty of yardage markers on the water sprinkler heads that showed front, middle, and back yardage. That made it easy for club selection. The pace of play was very fast. after we finished our round the staff cleaned our clubs and carried our clubs to our car for us. The staff was very focused on our experience and made sure that we were enjoying our round.
good condition
course was in good shape greens rolled pretty fast and true
was a windy day think that might be normal for course but they need a few marshals to keep pace of play up at one point there were five groups waiting to play one hole on back nine
TOUGHEST GREENS EVER
Played an afternonn round at the conclusion of a late finishing scramble. The staging area for the afternoon players was chaotic as all players were to start at the same time(shotgun start). However once on the course, all the hassles were erased by the beauty & challanges of this great course. Seems like there are no straight in putts any where on the course. Can't wait to play here again.
Truly one of the great courses in Florida.
Course is in great shape, fun to play and recommend it highly.
Just another wide opened course at the east coast…
The layout is not really overwhelming… Most holes have wide fairways and even though there is somehow water on every hole, it mostly can be avoided, even on a very windy day like we had today. Greens are mostly huge, some are undulated, fairly fast but with the wind not easy to read.. Fairways and bunkers well maintained. But somehow, the course is a little bit “boring” as it really does not have holes that are outstanding. It is just a good wide course (with almost no trees), but nothing special to it. Although the pace was not bad, we had to wait on every hole somehow. No Player’s assistant out there to watch the play… The staff is different – Pro Shop and starter very cordial and helpful, bag drop and cart return either “highflyers” – means lot of talking and joking, but not much caring… Overall – it is a good golf course, well maintained and playable, but not really a must.
This course had or has great potential, IF.....
The greens are totally unfair for ANY amateur, even good players.
They state there are 3 pin placements, #1, #2, & #3. That is an absolute joke. Who ever accepted the design of these rediculasly undulating greens had NO plans or interest to allow the paying public to have fun or enjoy a round of golf.
No plans to ever play this course again AND I have already stated my opinion to other interested holders. If your interested, I have a hdcp. index of 7.2.
Unfortunately windy day made greens hard as a rock.
Other than the wind, enjoyed the course, however, being in a foursome followed by 3 twosomes was a bit odd. We kept having to let them play thru instead of being hit into.
