Duran Golf Club - Championship Course
About
Duran Golf Club is a local favorite, known for being the best public course in Brevard County. The club is also home to the area's only lighted nine-hole, par-3 course. The course stretches across fertile terrain that was formerly a sod farm, lending some of the lushest playing surfaces on Florida's east coast. The championship layout has a links feel with subtle mounding that frames large, undulating greens. The beautiful landscape comes into play throughout the golf course. Sparkling lakes and ponds, lush grasses, and stately palms all add to the beauty and challenge of the round. Coastal breezes come into play on several holes thanks to the seaside location. Duran Golf Club's practice facility is almost as popular as the 18-hole course. In addition to the par-3 course, there is also a large driving range with mounded areas where you can practice with uphill and downhill lies.

This is the first time Imhave played this course and it is different than any course I have played in this area. You will enjoy the day.
This is the first. Course in the Space Coast area where I didn't have mud on my ball after every shot.. Their pins have reflectors which makes range finders worked faster and more accurately.
It would be nice for a150 pole so you had an idea where t to aim if you are a stranger to the course.
Great value to sharpen up short game.
Met two guys on first tee and we all enjoyed our round. The course was in good shape and played in under 2.5 hours. Very fast play and greens in very good shape.
Good course.
This course is in good shape for the most part. Really nice staff, good pro shop and restaurant. There are some neglected areas on the course that would not be terribly hard to rectify. Once that is done. This course would be 5 stars in my opinion, particularly in this Space Coast area as the other courses I have played during my stay have appeared to be somewhere between a goat ranch and a municipal course. So, definitely play this one.
Duran is typically well maintained
Duran is always is good condition, greens currently are fast and fun to putt. If its windy this can be a tough course to score.
Very nice course
Nice course and great staff. Condition of course overall was excellent.
Nice par 3 course
Played the 9 hole short course with my grandson. The course was in good shape and we enjoyed the day
Good technical coures
This course is fun, I only played 3 clubs, sand wedge, pitching and putter. Very good for working the short game.
Great finishing hole
Terrific condition really friendly Staff Good food look forward to going back
Very we'll put together!!
From the gentleman who takes your clubs from your car to the last shot on 18. This course is top notch. Duran is one of the best places to play in Brevard county!!!!
Well-maintained property with a nice community feel to it
There seems to be a lot going on at Duran. The Academy of Golf across the street has an expansive practice area and their Par 3 "Short Course" stays illuminated until 9pm. They work with the local World of Beer to sponsor a Tuesday night shootout on the Par 3 for men and women including beer specials at WOB afterwards. On the afternoon I played, the clubhouse restaurant was getting ready for a four-course wine and food pairing that evening at a very reasonable price. Signs all over the property were also promoting an upcoming five-course beer and food pairing that even made me think about my future plans for that night. My round on the 18-hole "Championship Course" was very enjoyable and I found the layout extremely fair. Greens are on the large side, but there's a lot of slope to them that does affect approach shots and putts. It is always nice to play at a place where management puts a lot of effort into the overall experience and gets creative about enticing people to come back...whether it is for a normal round or a special event.
Traps with sand and greens roll true!
The obvious signs of golf courses in distress is no sand in the traps. Unfortunately, I found that to not be a problem on four of the holes. The greens were in excellent shape and my 82 was proof of a course in good condition.
I was driving straight all day, but this course is very open, so wayward shots do not penalize. Great fun and great staff!
My favorite in Brevard county!
Course is consistently in very good condition. Tho pace of play is usually pretty good its not "rangered" much to break the occasional bottleneck. Practice area is the best in the area. Staff is always attentive. No real complaints I can think of.
poor mngt controll
course was ok but our 3 some caught up to a 5 some around the 8th hole. Asked starter if this was allowed , was told no. Starter said he told the 5 some to break up. They did not and we wound up behind the 5 some from the 9th hole to the end of the round. i guess Duran mngt does not have controll of its course ,or the etiquette of the game.
Very good shape
The greens had good speed. The fairways tight lies. The wind is significant in shot making which makes it challenging. Some very good holes and some short sneaky holes. How about a par 3 at 180 yards into the wind,...must hit a shot 220 and might not get there.
Good track
This course is great!
One of the best courses I have played in brevard county and I have played quite a few. Staff is great. Course is in great condition and challenging. Greens are great and they do a great job of keeping them that way year round. I play here at least once/twice a week. Keep it up Duran!
Great course
Well maintained - super friendly staff - It was a little crowded - but we expected that
Great for the price
Greens were punched and verticut a couple weeks before but the price I paid through Golfnow.com I can only say it was great
thanks so much
Great for wedge practice
Although I was a bit suprised by the shortest par 3s I have ever played, the greens were maintained and required true putting skills. I will be muvh more confident with my wedge play too! The staff were receptive, accomodating and very friendly. I got through 9 holes within 40 minutes and was able to get in another 9 holes on their 18 hole course. Fun, straight forward and well maintained. Especially for August in Florda.
This course is one of the nicer ones in the area
Overall the course was in good shape. The driving range could use more maintance. Grass was very sparse. Price of the round for the course was too high, during summer season.
For this area one of the best
We played on a Friday starting at noon and were finished by 4. So speed of play was good. The course runs though a upscale neighborhood but none of the homes are so near that are at danger of a mishit shot.
Fairways are wide but a miss into the rough means a lost ball as most are on lakes or have a form of pampas grass along side.
Nice was to spend a summer day.
