Duran Golf Club - Championship Course
About
Duran Golf Club is a local favorite, known for being the best public course in Brevard County. The club is also home to the area's only lighted nine-hole, par-3 course. The course stretches across fertile terrain that was formerly a sod farm, lending some of the lushest playing surfaces on Florida's east coast. The championship layout has a links feel with subtle mounding that frames large, undulating greens. The beautiful landscape comes into play throughout the golf course. Sparkling lakes and ponds, lush grasses, and stately palms all add to the beauty and challenge of the round. Coastal breezes come into play on several holes thanks to the seaside location. Duran Golf Club's practice facility is almost as popular as the 18-hole course. In addition to the par-3 course, there is also a large driving range with mounded areas where you can practice with uphill and downhill lies.

One of the top courses in Brevard
Green fees for Duran are usually on the higher side so finding a hot deal was a plus. The greens were in good shape which is tough to find in the area these days. Fairways were also green and well maintained. When the wind picks up the course can be tough. I am disappointed at the driving range turf. Seems like they have too much use or have lost quite a bit of turf there.
Overall, great value at a hot deal for this time of year and top greens in the area.
nice links type course
with all the rain recently the course is in great shape. fast firm greens. soft fairways
A Challenge For All
Despite my GPS on the car telling me it was 3 miles in the "other" direction ... I still made it to the course - I called the Pro Shop and they were very helpful with directions ... once I arrived the bag "boy" was extremely helpful with the lay out of the course, where to go ... etc. (while I played a lot of courses this was the 1st time I've got such). I was pleased with the starter getting me with somebody so I didn't have to play a new course alone ... and honestly, just enjoyed the course. The greens were in excellent to outstanding shape ... smooth and if it had not rained so much they would of been fast. While it had rained quite a bit, the course took it well and only on a few fairways did you even know that it had rained. We finished in just under 4 hours ... and moved along all day. One "unique" item was at the end of the day ... the young lad ASKED if I wanted my clubs cleaned ... that was different ... normally they do it and then "hope" for the tip ... this was ... will you tip me IF I clean your clubs ... not a good finish to an otherwise outstanding day of golf ...
Country club atmosphere at a public couse rate.
Plenty of room for practice at the driving range for both your driver and irons.
The tee boxes tend to point you in the wrong direction so making sure you line up correctly is a must on this course. Plenty of water and strategically placed bunkers will make you pay on errant shots. The fairways are well maintained and the length of the grass gives you a little cushion to hit from. The greens are also well maintained. Chipping from close to the green may be a problem if you are on the wrong side of the slope.
After your round a nice club house is available to enjoy a few drinks and talk about your day on the course.
The pro shop has minimal equipment and clothes to choose from.
I enjoyed the course and look forward to going back.
Something for everyone depending upon tees played
One of best courses in the area. From back tees the par threes are very challenging. But allow for bailout areas if necessary
By far the absolute best course in Brevard County!
My husband and I played Duran last week and it was by far the best course in Brevard County we have ever played, a close to the PGA course in St. Lucie! Was enough of a challenge for my husband a very good golfer and friendly enough for my game, can't wait to play it again!
Extremely well maintained course that's challenging yet fair. I wish we had this type of course for the price in Tampa Bay!
Excellent challenge that was extremely well manicured.
Duran rarely disappoints
Duran Rarely disappoints. The fairways are uber wide but you have to be the right angle and distance to attack certain pin placements. That is how Duran protects par.
Wide open
Compared to usual price it's worth the golf now discount. It has huge fairways you can't miss and prairie like views.
Great condition
Course was in excellent condition, staff was friendly. Great Value!
Nice place
The course would of been prestiene if it was not for recent storm damage. It's my favorite course in the area
The course was in great shape and enjoyed playing it.
At the golfnow rate of $23, this was a bargain. As much as I love the course, I rarely play it based on the high rates compared to other courses in the area. Will continue playing here if I can find reduced rates, but too many other nice courses at reasonable prices.
Always an enjoyable round.
Course in great shape. Challenging but fun test. Pace was slower than usual, but they had a Jr. Tournament earlier. Also some younger guys in front of us clowning a little having a good time. Sometimes we just have to relax and enjoy. One of my favorite local courses.
Wide fairways beautifully maintained
Duran is a fun course. Not terribly long, and it has wide fairways. There is plenty of water, and other hazards for your ball to find, however easy to navigate away from. The course is maintained beautifully and is one of the best conditioned courses that I have been on in Central Florida.
Open for Scoring
While this course is generally open, you have to be careful of a few fairways where a fading drive down the middle can run into water right due to fairway slope. Greens are fast and a little bumpy but you should have a chance to score well if you play from the tees that match your game.
it is a nice course if you dont pay to much
the airation was not posted and so the best green was the first and practice. after the front nine the back nine was more intresting like too diffrent layouts.
nice course nice day greens were a little hard
nice layout generous fairways friendly people greens a little hard but overall a great value
Duran 5/6
We played with tremendous winds. The pins were in sadistic locations. But, all in all, a great course. I would definitely return.
Great course Great value
The course was in good shape and you choose how difficult you wanted by which tees you played
