About
Situated just outside of Temecula, the Golf Club of California enjoys a scenic landscape provided by the rolling hills north of San Diego. The terrain is ideal for a round of golf, offering verdant acres of countryside blanketed with mature oaks, sycamores, and towering eucalyptus trees and accented with redtop grasses, which border the carefully manicured fairways and greens. Although there is an abundance of trees, the course still has many wide-open areas. The pristine white sand bunkers and colorful wildflowers are a beautiful contrast to the lush green of the course. The layout is not particularly long, but golfers should be prepared for a challenging round of target golf. The course features narrows fairways, plenty of elevation changes, and tricky greens that require an accurate approach. There are also a few meandering creeks that come into play.

No notification of course airification
Had to play the back nine holes twice and golf now never lets you know when a course is punching greens or doing some other type of maintenance. I would have not taken a 45 min. drive one-way to play 9 holes twice and the price was only reduced by $3.00 dollars from what I usually pay with golf now,.

Well worth the money and drive time
My buddy & I were looking for a "Private Country Culb" feel? Then we found this Fallbrook (It's closer to Bonsall) course as the gem we were looking for. The tee boxes are in great shape, unlike many of the public courses in North San Diego County. Oh, and there's real grass in the fairways instead of the spotty, weed choked ones found elsewhere. Local copmparisons: La Costa, Averia, bettter than Pala Mesa which has many hard spots, I've play here 3 times now, the last round was 9/12/20, and it is my go to course. John M, Fallbrook, CA

Good layout but course conditions average
First round there and like the layout. A few holes have hazards really close to the greens that are not always visible from fairway , so course knowledge is needed. A number of holes are getting repaired and looks like the creeks have dried up but none of this work really impacts your play. I think they are restricting waterIng but doing it wisely . Fairways and greens are in decent shape and I will be back .

Greed
Do not book at this course through this app. Booking same day as a twilight golfer and couldn’t make it due to work issues. The greed of this course decided to charge full price for a no show even though their twilight time was wide open. Regardless of written policy this course decides to take advantage of every customer to charge when the circumstances don’t justify it. I’ll never use this app or play at that course again.

Unfortunately, course policies require our staff to bill all no shows if the tee time reservation has not been canceled in advance, as stated when you book online. Pick your spots
We received a course book explaining the holes and suggestion on each hole. You definitely need to place the ball correctly to score well. Knowing the green layout would help as well. One of the par threes has a sand trap in the middle of the green and the pin was in back of it with about a seven yard landing area. They said it was their signature hole, I thought it was a silly and unfair hole. I’d play the course again and it was a good value.

Great Track, Great Course
It was 113 degrees, so pace of play was great since most golfers stayed home. Greens were nice, and faster than I thought they’d be with the heat. The bunkers were okay, much better than most courses. Love the layout.

Great Layout. Great Condition.
This is our favorite course in San Diego. Course is always in great condition, even in the dry summer months. They need to spread out tee times a little more. Tends to get bunched up. I have yet to see a Marshall out on the course.
