About
Situated just outside of Temecula, the Golf Club of California enjoys a scenic landscape provided by the rolling hills north of San Diego. The terrain is ideal for a round of golf, offering verdant acres of countryside blanketed with mature oaks, sycamores, and towering eucalyptus trees and accented with redtop grasses, which border the carefully manicured fairways and greens. Although there is an abundance of trees, the course still has many wide-open areas. The pristine white sand bunkers and colorful wildflowers are a beautiful contrast to the lush green of the course. The layout is not particularly long, but golfers should be prepared for a challenging round of target golf. The course features narrows fairways, plenty of elevation changes, and tricky greens that require an accurate approach. There are also a few meandering creeks that come into play.

Good condition
Staff mentioned today’s course management was not good cause it was holiday, even though green was very slow, but fairway was good. There was not any slow player front of us. I will get to here more time.

First time
First time at this course. The gentleman in the pro shop was very friendly and even let us start playing earlier than our tee time. The golf carts had coolers and ball washers which is always a plus! The course was well maintained and the greens were fast. Some tough, narrow fairways where I Definetely lost a few balls but overall a super fun layout and will be back again very soon!

Hidden Gem
Over the years, I’ve played many golf courses in Southern California but this course layout is truly amazing! The golf course designer took full advantage of the beautiful acreage and hillside topography and created one of the most challenging golf courses you will ever find! Challenging tee shots into tilted and tree lined fairways, strategically place bunkers and split-double fairways will test your skill level on all 18 holes! But in my opinion, the best part about this course are the green complexes - everyone of the are different in size, shape, and level of difficulty. Pin placements on this course are endless and some locations are so difficult to get to, even the best golfers in the area will be tested! In closing, you don’t often see course design like this, unless your playing high-end golf courses but be forewarned... bring your ‘A’ game and make some putts!

Nice layout
Good to have a yardage book or GPS with hole flyover. Some blind shots. Fun course.

Much better this time then my first time playing this course. It seems they are putting more maintenance into this coarse. Greens where mowed and much better, rough was cut, all in all we enjoyed the round! Pace was nice just one slow group but no big deal, will play again.

Course in pretty nice.
Greens are nice and they roll very well. Would reccomend for someone who is average golfer isnt a beginner course. Keep them straight or you will end up in trouble most holes favor the left side of the fairway. Overall I'd say it was pretty nice course.

Keep it straight, or you'll pay
Absolutely love this course. It is a target golf course. Keep it straight, and you can score well. If not, there will be some big numbers on your card! A lot of the greens are very protected, so approach to the greens are critical.

Weekend Foursome
Checked in today easily paying for our round of golf. Hit range balls before our round of golf enjoying the time being back on the course. Had so much fun , Enjoyed our round of golf today while playing a foursome from the blues. The greens by far the best I’ve ever seen. Be sure To pay the course superintendent for his expertise.

Totally enjoyed the round today, even if I played terribly. Course was in very good condition, greens were beautiful. The only negative I can come up with is that if you have never played here before, it is very tough to figure out yardages as we found very few yardage markers. No pictures on the scorecard made it tough to know exactly where to hit the ball, but those didn't really stop us from having a great time. With just a little help from the golf course, yardage markers would really help, you can't help but enjoy the course.

Mixup
Booked round for $47 and was charged $52 at the course. Not sure why, because I asked but they were too distracted and I didn't get an answer. Even $47 is high considering its bar and other amenities aren't open yet. For the extra $5, turn the fairway water on. Getting dry.

Some tough holes with good greens. Last 5 holes make for lots of action and drama for match play.
