As a +1 GHIN, I found it challenging from back tees. Definitely must use yardage book as staff will tell you often.

Greens a bit slow this day, about 8-9.

But interesting layout, lots hazards fronting greens, especially par 5's !! Very few will try to reach in 2, me included.

Quiet course, hot this day with temps in high 80's.

Staff great. For my wife, restroom on course was challenge with drinking so much water on hot day. Other than clubhouse, Restrooms near #2 green, #12-13 tees. So ladies plan accordingly if you can.

The last time I played this course was about eight years ago, couldn't remember why it took me so long to come back... I was quickly reminded why.

Guy in pro shop yelled at me for attempting to fill up the ice chest that was provided on the cart from the ice machine, not sure why? When I ask where to fill it up he said the bar, but that it wasn't open until noon, so that didn't help.

But the worst part of the course was the crabby old lady they have for a marshal, up our butts during the entire round for slow play, mind you there was no one around us and the only reason we fell behind for a moment was when we went to get a hot dog. After using the phone on course to order two dogs you have to go way off course to get to the snack shack and they didn't even have them ready? Go figure! And then you get yelled at by the some old hag!

Later in the round she rolled up while I was putting and I simply made a roll of my hand to politely tell her to "hit the road" and she yelled at me stating "Sir! You are way out of line to point your finger at me!" It was hilarious, this course used to be private and wishes it still was, but it isn't, so deal with it. Especially considering that for the San Diego area this is easily considered the middle of nowhere and hard to get to.

You couldn't pay me to come back. I suggest you do the same with so many quality options in the area.

Outside of all of this, the course is ok.

Unfortunately this course is, like Rancho California golf club, going downhill. Fairways are merely ok but the collars around the greens are spotty. Greens are a mixed lt due to unrepaired ball marks. A couple of years ago I thought this was a course I would really enjoy though the price was pretty spendy but now, even with a good rate it is not worth the drive. Too bad.

what it was and what it is - you gotta enjoy the value of a private club gone public. This isn't a hundred dollar a round course only because it isn't - IF they charged that, everything would be perfect. They don't and it is not, but the layout is a challenge and enjoyable and attractive and that is good enough for the price.

A nice balance of length and width. While many fairways are narrow, a controlled iron can get you there. The over length will still be a challenge but no impossible. There is water several carries of the tee box

Club house is very nice. Cart girl was exceptional. While I waited a bit at the opening holes, got around 4:30.

Look forward to playing there soon, to redeem myself. Course knowledge and familiar ity really helps. Free yard book with the round.

Enjoyed playing this course challenging and forgiving would recommend playing this course. Only challenge is not enough direction to the tee box other then that great course

Love the course , staff was very friendly and helpful. Very challenging but playable will play any time. Very beautiful layout the starter gave us tips on how to play the course that help make playing there fun . Only thing they need to do is make sure the directions to the tee box are plentiful. Kind of got confused where to go. Other than that we had a great time. Thank you !!!

I really enjoy this course. Lots of beautiful, interesting and difficult holes. But...the greens are horribly slow. Literally the slowest I’ve ever played. The grass on the greens was in good shape & didn’t appear to be overly long.

The course is in good condition the greens are excellent and hold very well it’s starting to dry out a little summers here but overall very nice experience

The course is a great test of golf, makes you hit every club in your bag. The course conditions are much better. Greens were a little slow but in good shape.

beautiful course great trac staff is great but the pace of play was stupid I will play again but only during the week. I left after 9 holes and went and played another course

Course is almost back to it's old self. Great job to get the greens in shape!!

Course was in excellent condition. Weather was awesome. Could not ask for more.
