About
Situated just outside of Temecula, the Golf Club of California enjoys a scenic landscape provided by the rolling hills north of San Diego. The terrain is ideal for a round of golf, offering verdant acres of countryside blanketed with mature oaks, sycamores, and towering eucalyptus trees and accented with redtop grasses, which border the carefully manicured fairways and greens. Although there is an abundance of trees, the course still has many wide-open areas. The pristine white sand bunkers and colorful wildflowers are a beautiful contrast to the lush green of the course. The layout is not particularly long, but golfers should be prepared for a challenging round of target golf. The course features narrows fairways, plenty of elevation changes, and tricky greens that require an accurate approach. There are also a few meandering creeks that come into play.

Don’t buy hot deal
We bought a hot deal tee time for $68. Apparently management at the course has policy to not let prepaid times check in until 10 mins prior to tee time and would not let us even buy range balls until 20 minutes prior to tee time. Do not recommend buying hot deal and considering not playing course again do to how we were treated for buying a discounted rate that was literally only $10 cheaper. Overall nice course but can’t believe how we were treated.

Good Condition and excellent greens
I had not played here in over a year. Greens are excellent. They are rolling smooth and true. Course was quite firm and fast. Ball rolling quite a bit if you get in the fairway. Pace of play was a little slow and could have used a player assistant to help. Otherwise a great day.

Nice bunkers
Nice bunkers, fast fairways but OB easily. Greens are fast and a bit testy to read but awesome overall value

Fun day at the golf club of california
I have played here about 4 or 5 times recently and it is always top notch.. friendly staff. Great pace. Great layout. Good food. Fun interesting layout. Nice greens. Very nice tee boxes.. very nice clubhouse.. 5 stars all around.

Always fun and challenging course
First time play this course after pandemic. The overall course condition is good. The pace is slow - nearly a 5 hour round.
