About
Situated just outside of Temecula, the Golf Club of California enjoys a scenic landscape provided by the rolling hills north of San Diego. The terrain is ideal for a round of golf, offering verdant acres of countryside blanketed with mature oaks, sycamores, and towering eucalyptus trees and accented with redtop grasses, which border the carefully manicured fairways and greens. Although there is an abundance of trees, the course still has many wide-open areas. The pristine white sand bunkers and colorful wildflowers are a beautiful contrast to the lush green of the course. The layout is not particularly long, but golfers should be prepared for a challenging round of target golf. The course features narrows fairways, plenty of elevation changes, and tricky greens that require an accurate approach. There are also a few meandering creeks that come into play.

Always and enjoyable track the greens are in great condition you’re not gonna find better staff.
Fairways were. Very tight lies other than that course was ok

Great course but…
This a great course but discriminates against Golf Now Customers. How so you ask, well if you booked your time online you will not be allowed to check in until 10 minutes prior to your t-time. Staff informed me that that is the owners policy without any further explanation. So you watch other customers getting carts going to the parking lot and loading up their clubs and warming up while you stand there waiting for your 10 minute countdown.
I know this is a semi private club but to treat paying customers differently is not fair. So if they need the money that Golf Now customers provide they should rethink their policy or close the course to members only.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, however, we're truly sorry to hear about your recent customer experience with us. We can assure you this is by no means the standard we aim to achieve for any of our guests and apologize for any misunderstanding or poor experience on behalf of our staff. Unfortunately we have had issues in the past with customers heading out to the course too early and are doing our best to resolve this, but your feedback has been escalated to our staff for necessary improvements. We would be happy to address any concerns with you further, so please feel free to reach out to Richard Ro, Director of Golf, directly at 760-451-3739. We hope we have the chance to welcome you back for a more positive golf experience in the near future.
Golf Now Check-In
Staff coupled with course were for the most part ok. What wasn't appreciated was during check-in. According to staff, people using Golf Now could NOT check-in until 10 minutes before your tee time. I was told that the course OWNER has mandated this. Of course this impacts on warming up (range, putting etc) prior to your tee time. I explained to the desk associate that I have already paid and am at the course. So why would they not issue a golf cart, range balls etc upon arrival. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Golf Now should contact the owner and get this rectified. I will NOT play there again or recommend the course to my friends and colleagues.
One of our Regular Stops
I've had the same foursome for 14+ years and we play almost every Sunday. This course we hit about once a month. The course is interesting and unique and with a nice combo of easy and then tough holes. ProShop staff is great, cart service on the course outstanding, and 19th hole indoor fine albeit a bit slow to attend (usually). You'll have a great time, especially on the course and if you drink and drive (cart) you'll enjoy the service).

Very challenging but fun course, great layout, Greens were in great shape, fairways a little dry in places but hey, its the middle of summer. Overall our new favorite in North San Diego County.

Good layout
Good layout. Greens in good shape. Fairways rock hard and hardly any living grass. Slow play, no Marshall in sight. Great employees.

Fun & challenging
Super fun but extremely challenging. Amazing greens and beautiful layout. Only complaint is fairways where a little dry and beat up but still well worth the price. Thank you Golf Club of California can wait t o return!!!

Tricky but Fair
Blind drives and correct carries await you on this track. But that’s what makes it fun along with the great canyon vistas you see during the elevation changes between holes. There is a nice variety of hole lengths especially the par 3s. Many of the greens are tiered that provide interesting putting challenges too. It’s overall shape appearance is good but a few holes seem to be neglected. Fairways in places have a thin lie look and feel. Overall I came away with enjoying the round and will definitely play it again. ParOut!

CA Club Fallbrook
Course was in pretty good shape, fairways a little dry, but decent. New sand in greenside bunkers appreciated, and fairway bunkers in good shape...greens nice.

Play this course for first time. Course in excellent shape green & bunkers best in SD other than Torrey.. totally recommend
