About
Situated just outside of Temecula, the Golf Club of California enjoys a scenic landscape provided by the rolling hills north of San Diego. The terrain is ideal for a round of golf, offering verdant acres of countryside blanketed with mature oaks, sycamores, and towering eucalyptus trees and accented with redtop grasses, which border the carefully manicured fairways and greens. Although there is an abundance of trees, the course still has many wide-open areas. The pristine white sand bunkers and colorful wildflowers are a beautiful contrast to the lush green of the course. The layout is not particularly long, but golfers should be prepared for a challenging round of target golf. The course features narrows fairways, plenty of elevation changes, and tricky greens that require an accurate approach. There are also a few meandering creeks that come into play.

Peaceful and beautiful gem
We 4 OC ladies drove 1.5 hours down to this beautiful course and really had wonderful time here. We will be back again.
Great course
The fairways and greens were in great shape the sand was incredibly playable. The sand was like a pillow.

Most Unfriendly Staff
Pro shop staff were not at all friendly. Booked tee time through GolfNow and showed up to tee it up with another couple buddies. The pro shop charged an extra $20 to not have to ride with another golfer whom I did not know. I was shocked and perplexed by this. They wanted me to ride with another unknown golfer during Covid-19 or pay an extra $20. I paid the extra $20 for precautionary reasons. Will not play this track again.

Pretty good for punched greens
Putting on punched greens are always a challenge. Still fast, but the bumps suddenly stopped all momentum. The rest of the course is in great shape. Had a great time, although slow play.

Nice track
Super friendly staff. Great views. Good.pace.of play and a really good hot dog at the turn. Recommend keeping ur tee shot in the fairway.or bring plenty of balls. All in all a great experience. Will definitely return soon.

The slowest round of golf ever played
What a letdown. The clubhouse and surrounding amenities would suggest that this place was going to make for a fantastic round of golf. It was anything but.
Burnt out, rock hard fairways were disappointing but I could get past them. What's just unacceptable, though, is how poorly managed pace of play was. 5 hours and 11 minutes is what it took us to get around. We were on top of the group in front of us for literally every shot, and we were walking. I called the pro shop, spoke to marshals, but nothing changed. They either don't care or aren't capable of moving a group as lackadaisical as the one playing in front of us along. At one point, a member of their foursome threw in the towel (a single who was paired with them) because they were so ungodly slow. No player was ready to hit, they looked for balls for 10 minutes, etc. A pace of play nightmare. There were THREE holes empty in front of them!!
I gave this course two chances. It was slow the first time, but not nearly this bad. Second time sealed the deal - no chance I'll be back again. I can deal with moderate conditions. But I'll never be able to deal how brutally slow the pace of play is, and it speaks volumes about the level of care when course personnel aren't motivated enough to make things better.

Great Day of Golf
Greens were in great condition, fairways in good condition, staff was wonderful, and the pace of play was fine. I will always play this track when here. They are two for two!

Solid Track
The course is in good shape. They are putting in new bunkers, improving tees.
Greens have a good pace. Very fast fairways so be mindful of that.

Coming along great!
Hey , this course is tough if you're not on your game but this course is in pretty good condition the bunkers are getting new white sand. Greens are great! Some bunkers are ground under repair because they are waiting to put in new sand. The views are spectacular! I ay this course quite often. I never play well here but it is fun.

Great course!
Great course! Very friendly staff. Course was in great shape. We played on a beautiful Friday afternoon and the course of play was very good; no waiting. Challenging but fun course.

Do not recommend
Course was average at best, play was slow, staff is rude, experience was poor. If I would have burned 67$ it would have been a more enjoyable experience then playing this poor use of land. Save your money go play putt putt you’d have a better time. If I could rate this place with less than one star I would.
But course is super easy and you can go low so ego boast if you need it.
