This course is great!
My father in - law and I have played this course twice and we both really enjoy the entire course! There aren't very many places were the wild turkeys have to dodge golf balls in a fairway.
Great course for the money
The course was in great shape- can't say much for the driving range, but overall a good experience.
Rocklin Golf Course
Always a great outing here. Good moderate course that offers some great uphill and downhill driving holes. Overall can't beat the course for the price.
Used to be a very good course
I was disappointed with the experience. The course conditions even allowing for the time of year were marginal at best. The greens were good but the course from tee to green was clumpy and wet. Decent lies were hard to find. The pace of play was a major factor. On this day my friend and I were behind some super seniors who could barely move and drove their carts right onto the aprons of the greens. They dropped out after 9 and we next encountered another twosome who informed us that they were playing a scramble . What? After suffering through a hole watching them hit 2 shots from each position we played through only to come up on a 5-some playing behind a super slow 4-some. Wow. On the last 2 holes we saw about 3 carts of golfers just driving in having given up. 5 hrs+. It will be a while before I go back there which is a shame because it used to be a very nice track.
You have the wrong name
The course is now "Rocklin Golf Club" Rained all day but still had fun.
A disappoinment
For starters we booked a 1230 time thinking we would finish only to have the shop pro tell us they were about 12 minutes behind. 12 minutes turned into an hour. We got in 13 painfully slow holes waiting on every shot , sometimes up to 10 minutes, no marshall to be seen all day.Nice greens but the rest of the course was a disaster. This once respectable CC now looks as though the facilities should be condemned by the building inspector.
A vintage gem
Ive lived in the area for almost 20 years and never considered playing this course, and I cant understand why! A great course all around. Well kept Tee boxes and Greens, Fairways typical for the time of year and the drought conditions we are experiencing. A lot of risk/reward opportunities, but also a lot of hidden trouble. Try to play it with someone who has some familiarity with it, or have some good digital guidance. Really good deals on GolfNow to be found
Fun but confusing
The score cards did not match the course labels for yardage. Looks like they are remodeling the course since becoming Rocklin
This course is a hidden gem
I really like playing at this course it's quiet usually not a lot of people to slow down rate of play. It's a great value for your money and they usually have good deals and specials going on.
Good for the price.
Play was extremely slow and start times were unorganized, i.e. players started on the back nine had to wait for players that had started earlier on the front nine and played through first. Marshall was seen often but did nothing about the slow play of some groups.
this course is challenging
Had fun like playing this course.like the doglegs, layups, greens were challenging.
Rocklin Golf club
The "new" Rocklin Golf club is a great course for the cost. Couse can be slow play n but I've been there on a slow day and played 18 in 4 hrs. Well kept and a fun and challenging course.
Average course with ptential to be good.
Narrow, and slanted fairways with undulating greens. It pays to play with someone who has played the course before and would be difficult for someone playing on their own with no prior knowledge. I was told that this course has recently changed ownership and that the new owners are working to make the course better. It is a good course that is fun to play even with the difficulty. I would play it again. It has also changed names and is now called "Rocklin Golf Course".One issue for the course is that the driving range is pretty short and up a hill. Shots over 200 yards are discouraged.
Fun day
The course was in decent condition considering it was mid Dec. The staff was very friendly and we had a great day.
Friendly Staff definitely Enhances Experience
The course layout is interesting. I liked having water on almost every hole. The water is not massive ponds but a lot of holes of meandering creeks that can come into play.
Friendly staff made the day.
Course was decent after two days of rain
Sand traps were still being drained after recent rains
Greens in excellent shape
Started at 2 p.m. was able to finish 18 b4 dark 30. Formerly private club that still plays like it. Liked it? I loved it.
Play couple times a month - great course
Back nine is bit harder than front nine - course is not so easy as it has many hazards - par 5s are shorter than most of courses I've been which makes perfect to try out a birdie.
good course for average golfers
this course has everything for golfers of all skill levels. the course could use a little help in the conditiong .
Great day to be on the golf course.
Great weather, decent pace, greens in good shape, how can you go wrong.
