The course was in good shape
Golf now had me scheduled on the Hills Course. My tee time was already booked. The staff was nice enough to change me to the Orchard course.
Starter
This was the second time I have played here. In both experiences the starter was very flustered, and overly demanding. In both cases I was more than 10 minutes before my tee time…yet he introduce unnecessary anxiety and stress but demanding I hurry up and tee off yet 10-15 minutes before my reserved tee time. In one case he wanted me to hurry up and tee off in the middle of the group on the 1st tee so I could catch up with threesome already playing the second hole. This was 10 minutes before my tee time… great course…but not for $80 rounds with this. I play to relax and relieve stress and tension…not to compound it!!!
Retirement Community
This retirement community think that they run the entire course. This is a edgy, controlling and pushy retirement community. They want you to let them pass, they want you to do exactly what they say, and if you don't listen they do little things that can throw you off your game. You want to try to remain professional and respectful but this community wants you to be a jerk. So I gave it to them and complained to the staff about the groups ahead of me and behind me what they were doing. The staff knows all too well the people that do this type of harassment on their golf course. Because when I called in the staff were just saying I know exactly who they are. So this is a cycle that goes on, on this golf course and it makes it not enjoyable to be there. Lincoln Hills could be making more money if they can start to penalize the people that are causing them to lose qualified golfers and paying customers.
Haven’t played in a long time
I haven’t played the hills course in many years 2004 2005? I believe there was only one course at the time. I feels like some of the orchard was part of the original hills, but I’m not sure of the history. I’ve played the orchard course a few times since we moved back two years ago, this was the first time I played the hills. Of course a lot of fun. Seems a few strokes easier as many funky holes for carries around a father daughter. Can’t wait to try again.

Good - Fast greens, decent fairways, and challenging rough.
Ok - layout on Hills Side had some fun holes and others seemed repeated.
Bad - Staff
From Proshop to Starter, and to the Manager. No customer service. The Starter box was a mess. One guy is running two starter boxes and whatever is translating on his iPad is incorrect. I had to convince him with a reseat that I paid for 18 and not 9 as he was claiming. He waiting til I tee’d off the first hole, then ran over and told me I had to share a cart or pay $20 more dollars at the Proshop. I asked him if he could get someone else as my party already drove to the green. He then called his manager to tell her what I asked and she said to him, too bad, tell him to come up and pay $20. They can keep that old dusty Lincoln Hills community. I’m not going back.
Decent value
The course layout is good but conditions of tee boxes could be quite better (actually need mowing) and the greens are still in mediocre shape even post aeration. The greens have been inconsistent for some time and I’m not sure if that is the type of grass of the actual agronomy. The course looked like it was preparing for some heat upcoming as the growth is a little bit long in the fairways. The layout is still fun but overall could be an even better value.
PERFECT CONDITIONS
WEATHER GREAT, PACE COMFORTABLE AND FAST, 4 HR ROUND. WISH SCORE WERE BETTER BUT NEED TO IMPROVE SKILLS. THANK YOU, ALAN
course is great condition
I still, and as always, wish they had a snack shack available. 2 courses back to back with the clubhouse only accessible at check in, and full meals at that. This is all they are missing. Bring Your Own!
