The Lincoln Hills Golf Club - Orchard Course

No course marshal to regulate pace of play. Called the club house for hours and no answer. Once I finally got some one to answer they said it was forwarded from the club house to him and he couldn’t help us. We were verbally threatened by the group in front of us for asking them to speed up their pace of play. The clubhouse restaurant and bar were closed on a Sunday but that could’ve been Covid19 related. The cart service going from hole to hole saw us on hole 1 and hole 17…. For a 5 hour and 20 minute round this wasn’t very effective, I assume they have 1 cart for both courses.

The Orchard Course is the tougher of the two Lincoln Hills courses but relatively speaking it’s still a fairly easy course although they’re a few par fours on the back nine that are pretty tough. Good weather, course was in pretty good condition, greens were fine but we’ve got behind a group that was extremely slow they were at least two or three holes behind the people in front of them. Still enjoyed the round.

GREENS AERATED AND SANDED BUT STILL PLAYABLE. PLAYED AT MY OWN SPEED WITHOUT ANY OTHER PLAYER. MADE FOR GREAT PRACTICE.

The coarse is in good shape overall. They are trying to keep the coarse from burning but there’s a lot of standing water in the middle of the fairways. The sand traps were somewhat raked and if air shape to play.

I had high hopes that the Orchard course would be in better shape than it’s current condition. The Hills course has maintained a far better condition through the summer.

The Orchard has a lot more browned out sections on the course , the bunkers all have not been maintained or trimmed in months. There are tall weeds growing on some of the fairways and the crab grass is running rampant. The greens aren’t bad

For a few bucks more, play the Hills.

Light wind to start, but got very gusty on back 9.

No sand on the cart, and refill box near bathroom was empty, so couldn't refill divots properly.

Played late in the PM. Actually allowed to play either course because of heat and very few players out.

We chose the Hills course.

First 3 holes water running covering t-box, greens, cart paths. Got soaked. Course needs manicuring and greening. Was ok but wont return until conditions improve.

Played The Orchard Course at Lincoln Hills a fun layout with some very challenging holes.

I don’t have a rangefinder and I question some of the yardages on the Course I wish it was better marked.

Also sad to see so many unrelated ball marks on the greens.

Had a Great Time like I always do at both Courses at Lincoln Hills!!! Today I played the Orchard Course it was in Good Shape except for the Bunkets which I imagine we’re not maintained during the Pandemic.

I understand Troon Golf is purchasing both Golf Courses from Billy Casper Gold I think that will be a positive acquisition for the Players who enjoy both The Hills & The Orchard Courses at Lincoln Hills.

I’ll definitely be back real soon to play I live in Fresno but when I come to Rocklin I love playing those courses!
